Good find TV, that puts the relative amounts in perspective,
it's one helluvalotof salt : 21% of final dry weight!,
and much more carbonate than I would have dreamed of (6% of dry wt).
You'd get about 10% of your recommended daily intake (6g for men) with 5 wet 1 gram snus per day,
although apparently we already generally just about double our rdi for sodium (UK),
I certainly do, too many crisps (= chips to you
).
And the glycerol seems excessive too, depending on what a 'bottle' is,
it's just being used as a humidity/wetness stabiliser, isn't it ?
Wonder if saltless, glycerol-less snus would be so different that they'd seem 'wrong',
also wonder if typical dry snus have all this, but are then dried (you can't 'dry' glycerol though)
presumably the dry 'snus powder' mentioned is a simpler material than what's in commercial dry snus.
Interesting that you find the oomph dry snus faster acting TB, can't work out whether I agree.
I do use dry Oomph 6 mg & Energy 6 mg snus as well as TF wet ones, TF mini (8 mg) seem quicker to me,
all contain only about 0.25 dry g, but that does put all of them in the 'strong' category compared
to the 8mg for 1 g wet (0.5 g dry) of standard snus.
Maybe I include the 'wetting' time in the mouth as part of the acting-time for Oomph.
Still feel glycerol slows it down somewhat, perhaps it's the lack (or reduced amount) of that in dry Oomph
that causes them to be faster (once wetted with saliva).
Glad to hear that adding the flavouring make them smell acceptable, I too can't stand that 'wet plain snus' stink.
