I recently purchased and elips and it has a sealed battery, I don't see anyway how that could vent.

I've been using these thing for a year now. Never heard of any of these thing happening till now. I feel great, have my wind back, and can smell/taste again! they are improving my health and my life. That said, until they start blowing up all over the place, I'm staying. As others on this site have said, there are allot of dangerous things out there.

One sad accident.

How many li-on batteries are being used ? How many are being used by the visitors to ECF ?

Perspective is an under utilised view point given the media's need to fill air time with scare story after scare story. Once or twice is an accident or user error. Even up to 10 times given the sheer number of li-on batteries there are out there.

Until then just take care of your equipment and there is vastly more chance of you being run over or having a crash than anything happening with your batteries.
