Morandir, I think that Ryan Reynolds is a decent actor. I am hopeful that the Green Lantern movie will be good. I believe that the two very bad movies that you mentioned were more a result of a poor script and poor directing than anything else.

I will agree that thus far Ryan Reynolds shines more as a comedic actor than as a serious or action oriented one. But I will hold onto my hope for a few months longer...

I love Reynolds in comedy roles Gardner sir.... Van Wilder, Waiting, etc... His comic character history is just bad.... You can blame it on the writing, but he chose to be in them..... Though I will say he would be the perfect Deadpool in a real movie...

I think he is going to do a good job with the Green Lantern role, maybe add a slight comedic touch to the film but not something to ruin it completely. He was serious and looked comfortable in Smoking Aces.

I will say that his comedic part in Blade III was awesome. His scene with the female psycho vampire when he was in the cage was awesomely funny. Did it fit in the Blade series? Probably not. But to me it was the one redeeming part of that movie. Well that scene and seeing Jessica Biel in tight leather pants.
