Can someone explain this whole thing to me? I've wanted a mod..but if this only vapes at 3.7 I don't see the point as I have that from my eGo.

one reason i can think of, and i could be wrong, but i would imagine the batteries for this mod are much less expensive than ego batteries.

So it would be good to put on an adapter and just leave it on?Wouldnt that work?

Theoretically that should work, but someone said that's what they did and were still having thread wear issues. I dunno.

I just wanted a 801 native connector and love 801's at 6V, so I thought this would be perfect. 801's last me a long time and I have never killed one. I've only tossed them to the side when performance dropped.

Oh no, the batts that some with it are unprotected?

Yes, they are unprotected.

If the bats are the LiFPo4(sp) then they are safe but not fully protected and will run a slightly lower voltage but they won't blow up or anything like that.... Just wanted to throw that out there!-)

The ones with the kit are not LiPo/safe chemistry batteries.

Just so people are aware, the problems I'm hearing over and over are with the aluminum threads on the connector. I'm told they are weak and wear down very quickly.

That was the first thing I mentioned to my hubs when it came in yesterday. I ordered my connector from madvapes and I'm thinking the connector will be a heavier metal than the mod (maybe). I can see thread issues if you give it a lot of wear. The cap is replaceable for 5.99. This would be a kickin mod if it was a heavier metal or heavier aluminum, but ya prob wouldn't get it for 19.99 :)

So it would be good to put on an adapter and just leave it on?Wouldnt that work?
That's my plan.

I was going to try to post in swaps for batteries but I am really confused about what batts I would need for this. I have a trustfire multi charger. So am I correct in saying I need Tenergy 16340/900mah for it? Also what is the difference between that battery and cr123a 3v?
Sorry guys I suddenly feel like a newb again lol

I cant find the deal. Can anyone clue me in on this PLEASE?

Here you go!

SparkPlugforSmokers.com

It's a 3.7 tube mod and comes with a larger tube that with the correct batteries can be used at 6v. It has an 801 fitting.

It is a phenomenal deal direct from the manufacturer.

With shipping, $34.99.

Sensay: they are the same size, you can use either/or

Bert: then would you recommend just buying the replacement piece upfront? (save on shipping/etc)

It might not be a bad idea. I'm just going by what I was told, I just ordered a kit yesterday, so I really don't know. If you do buy another top connector and button, you can set it up on the thermo and have 2 mods. I just went the cheapest route. The only extra I bought was the 801 to 510 adapter.

the 3v is the batteries you'd need for the thermo tube 2 3v batts= 6v. If you used the 3.7v in the thermo tube you'd be vaping 7.4v and holy hotjuice batman~!!!

OTOH you wouldn't want to use a 3.0v battery by itself or it would be a pretty weak vape
