Protected batteries can vary in length. You may want to shop around for a shorter version.

Also, (now I don't know much about batteries.. so take this for what it's worth.. about 2c) the AW batteries, though technically not protected batteries, are supposed to be safer and even recommended by ECF as tops. They might be shorter...?

and remember, there have been mishaps with all kinds of batteries - none are failproof

if you don't stack, overcharge, don't drain down too much, don't charge with wrong side up it should be fairly safe. the button is recessed so accidental turn-on is minimized ......

Im almost ready to press the go button. I dont need another PV... or do I?

I only vape with an Ego and have been happy with it, so I haven't looked into trying others. Is there a big taste difference between the Ego's 3.2 and the Sparkplug's 3.7?

If I order, I know I will need the 501 adapter bc all my hardware is 510. Are you all using 510 Cartomizers on it? What do you suggest?

And so far, it seems that the AW batteries are the way to go??? Any links to where I can purchase them and a charger for a good price?

Thanks for any and all help.

Using ultrafire mine screws down all the way .. just have to screw it down first and then the adapter and then the carto, did you try it that way? If you already have the adapter/atomizer on first it won't go all the way and if probably won't if youre not using an adapter and using 801 atty/carto

yeah I can' find my adapter so I'm just using the 801 that came with it, if I take the atty off the threads screw all the way down but the atty wont screw on enough to fire

I corresponded yesterday with McDonald and I asked about the unprotected batteries that come with the kit. He told me has not heard of anyone having a single problem with the batteries or charger for 3.7v. He also told me that protected batteries should be used with the Thermo.. He recommended Tenergy 16340/cr123a 3v/900mah for it. I ordered 4 batteries with a charger off of eBay.

I can't wait for mine to get here. I ordered the Sparkplug in blue.
