I bought a bottle of truth serum (no menthol). I know about the steep, but tasted it on atty upon arrival. There was a distinct cumin note. If you know cumin, you also know it has a unique flavor. I may be wrong about cumin specifically, but am curious as to how common is the addition of a base note (earthy) to a fruity mix such as TS. After a 2 week steep, the "cumin" has blended and is not recognizable.

When blending perfume, there are top, middle and base notes. Patchouli, vetiver and cedarwood are among the most popular for the base. Would is seem reasonable that a similar formula may be applied when creating flavored nicotine juice?

Can anyone speak to this? Are mixologists incorporating extracts that may resemble a perfumers base note?

Thanks for any feed back.

Have a look at this:

TFA Molecules used in Tobacco Blends

That's just what they are selling.....

Hmm. Just started reading... This looked interesting:

Mandarine Aldehyde 10 (F)
Powerful complex odor of bitter orange, mandarin and coriander.

i use Caryophyllene oxide often for a cedar/woodsy note, but have never encountered anything that would bring in a note of cumin, you (this thread) have my attention.

It is intriguing. I hope to learn more about the chemistry of flavors.

I never even considered something like that in a eliquid. I know cumin is a must ingredient for my chili.

Now I'm thinking garlic. ;)
