In a house.
I don't know why nobody is trying to make this devices legal.

Because the Manufacturers of these devices are in China and don't want to spend the money to get them tested ,analysed, regulated whatever.
I can only assume that they don't give a toss whether they are or not.
They can still sell them in China and that's a pretty big market.
Who care's about the Western Devil's.

What ever happened to the argument with cigarettes being that 2nd hand smoke was bad for those not participating in smoking. That I could understand and (although I didn't always like it) I respected by going outside to smoke, etc. Somehow along the way people became disgusted with the act and look of smoking. It's become increasingly apparent that it's not all about health for them anymore, it's about control. This just bugs the crap out of me :).

I'm (as always) with you Riddle80 and if vaping gets scientificly proved more effective to quit analogues (and by what I have read, I think it is but my opinion dosn't count) than all the NRTs and even more effective than Smoke-Break (71.1%) and vaping gets regulated properly and second hand vapor is harmless then those people will not have more alternative than sit and watch us vape...

I will continue to discreetly "ghost-vape" (not my term) in most non-smoking areas--that is, hold most of your e-cig in your fist, hiding the led, taking a drag and holding the steam in until it dissipates. Usually a little vapor comes out of your nose, though! But usually nobody catches on. Ghost-vaping isn't as satisfying as a good exhale, but it's good for an emergency hit. Plus you can usually take a walk inside your location, find a relatively empty place like a hallway or something, and take a few good real drags. The vapor, even as exhaled normally, disappears in seconds.

This most likely came from a complaint letter to the corporate HQ. Just send them one of your own each day until they give in. If this was a privately owned bar I could understand them asking. However the corporate types most likely have never seen one in person before. As in most corporate settings if you bug the ones in power enough they will bend just to shut you up. The confusion thing could be easily resolved with a blue or green light policy. Go ahead and show me an analog that burns blue or green.

This is exactly what I do Chuffer....especially at work. Yes, it does come out the nose....lol

They have a "health day" every year at work and employees are encouraged to do presentations on anything they have found to be healthy. I really tossed it around about my ecig but after talking with a couple of coworkers who know about my ecig, I decided not to.

Why? Because where I work, one complaint and it's over....that's all it took for all the smokers to be banished to a far corner of the parking lot. One ..... who complained that she could smell the smoke outside the door and would go to the Attorney General if something wasn't done about it. And another one who complained that perfume and hair spray bothered her allergies....those were banned too.

So where would I be then? At least now, with being discreet, I have not been told I can't do it. Once I am told that and dare to continue and possibly get caught, then I'm up for insubordination. No, not a chance I am willing to take.

Someone will always have something to complain about but I can tell you now, it ain't gonna be my ecig!

It has absolutely nothing to do with health anymore. It IS one group who wants to impose their beliefs on another group and when you really get down to it, it is that same belief system that is waging a war on gay rights, the right to end your own life, the right to put in your body what you will, and eventually many more freedoms. These people feel they are *entitled* to live their lives completely, but forget in order to do so, they must take from others. We all have to give a little to get a little, all consessions they say they are giving, when they are really not... and that will come out here soon.

It is sad.

BUT - that's where RTV plays SUCH a big role! Vaping is exactly what the doctor ordered to get these crazy loonjobs to admit this has nothing to do with smoking and health... it has to do with them wanting to control. Just like Sambuca pointed out with the perfume and hairspray! WHAT? Take an allergy pill. That's what the rest of us do!

With that woman from DCTFK, she needs to be approached, in the nicest way possible, with the current facts that we have, and shown that RTV IS interested in the health of it's members and that even though the two groups may not agree on the final outcome, RTV offers Tobacco Harm Reduction and we would welcome their assistance, but not their resistance.

Hi Bjorn - (not related to Bjorn Torun, are you?),

What liquid are you vaping? Sugar and atomisers aren't great companions - in fact, sugar can kill an atomiser pdq.

Try to find a liquid that the workys like, or you might lose your vaping perks at work! :)

I believe that all the fuss about smoking would 'never' have happened in the first place if it wasn't because so many people hated the smell.....the truth is that all those 'health' concious anti-smokers would be going absolutely crazy with worry about the dangers of vehicle exhaust fumes if they were 'really' worried about their health ........and that's the one thing that makes me feel some hope that there won't be enough support for banning e-cigarettes. They don't smell.

I read all your comments with interest. Iam in England and gave up regular smokes in nov 2008. Before i gave up, i researched the uk publics attitude towards smokers, and was amazed at how spiteful non-smokers and ex-smokers could be. It would seem that the government in the uk has successfully brainwashed people into thinking even the slightest amount of cigarette smoke is considered lethal. And this in a country with bad air pollution with over 30 million vehicles on the roads.

however since i started to use the e-cig, i have been shocked into how narrow-minded the public can be. On yahoo answers uk, one reply, when he realised that e-cigs were harmless, said he hoped e-cigs contained radiation so we would all die!?!
