Marc, Roxy, or anybody with an Ivogo with a pos pin that's too short: do you have any way of measuring the length of the pos pin? Also, how much longer is it supposed to be? Focal is asking, to make sure they acquire the correct replacement parts. thx

Edit: update from Doris at FC: there must've been one janky batch of these that unfortunately got shipped out. They're getting a handful of complaints, but a lot of customers, especially in France and Germany, got good ones and are asking for more. But yes, please still provide the measurements so they can get the right fix-it parts. ;)

Mine is officially named Chuckie :D. Its a demonic, possessed little monster.

I'm sorry I should have explained it better to help everyone out and get Chuckie (love the name) working.

Pull the 510 pin out of the tank and grab the smallest backup o-ring sent and stack the two at the screw head and replace the 510. I was able to snug mine down enough to stop the deck from moving and have the pin extend enough to fire on my PV.

Great job cindy, I had a reply from eleven at FC and it appears that they listened to you as they said they are getting the replacement pin and o rings from Ivogo, so thank you very much for contacting them! :toast:

Only problem is they said they would send it with my next order but I can not find anything that I want or need!! :confused:

I got the same response and asked them to send the replacement as I didn't plan i buying anything. They should probably rethink that response of they want to hold onto their consumers. Telling someone that you will only resolve a product defect on an item purchased is if you place another order can be a dangerous play. They are basically saying they won't fix the problem unless we spend more money.

I couldn't agree more Marc, it does seem a little unreasonable that you should have to purchase another product to get the original faulty product fixed, it certainly doesn't make me want shop there again!

Did they agree to your request of sending the new parts with out another purchase?

Yep, they are telling me the same. It will be sent with my next purchase.

I will measure the pin on next tank fill.

Mine never had any o ring on the 510. I hope there's 2 in the spares bag. Might be part of my problem, eh?

Hmm this is worrying, Sufie posted this on the Fasttech forum about the "fix"...

Update: in cases of confusion, we clarify that the spare kit offered here is not a fix kit necessarily. It is offered as a compensatory gift for the inconvenience caused.

What is that supposed to mean? She goes on to say that if it does not fix the problem you can still return it, I am not sure if we will get that same luxury from Focal however? :unsure:

I doubt it :( This seems to be a fix it yourself or you're stuck with it. They probably would take it back with a video demonstrating the problem. But, after all my work on it I might have to shoot 180 videos before it happens again. It went from Thurs to Sunday night without doing it. I had been lulled into a false sense of security by my dear little Chuckie.

I fear you may be right that we could be stuck with this demonic device, I am surprised that the serial number on the base isn't 666!
I also think that IF they allow us to return it we will have to foot the shipping costs, which in the UK will cost 60%+ of the value of the device.

I have only placed 2 orders with Focal, the first didn't ship so after 16 days I requested to cancel and now this, I think I am just unlucky and it is not representative but it has knocked my confidence with them a lot. :(

I sent the e-mail this morning and they were most likely at home tucked away in bed. I will post a response. They didn't ask me to measure my pin.

And sorry all for the double post, I'm not really sure how I pulled that one off.

I'm wondering if maybe that's common practice overe there in China. All of the other Chinese vendors I've ordered from do the same thing (not just vape stuff).

I think I will try that, I may even ask if I can return it as I don't trust the thing much right now and if what was posted on Fasttech is true that the parts may not actually fix the issue then that would be disappointing. I really need to decide what to do but not sure at the moment. :unsure:

She did tell me that full exchange was their normal recourse, so yes, that could be an option (ask for the replacement parts too). It's just that a few people didn't want to part with their tanks after they got those PITA o-rings in. :laugh: Only thing is, I don't know if they'll still have some, or what batch it came from, as their stock got pulled from the shelves during that whole fiasco with the OG a few weeks back. But yeah, definitely ask. ;)
