The ones for the plastic or glass section? One fits in a groove about 1/4" above the windows and the other goes in a groove about 1/4" below the windows.

Okay, I don't see any o-rings in there. I'm assuming I'd put the clear o-rings that came in the part kit into it but they're too large and there's always a piece of it that sticks out (i.e. doesn't sit flush.) I am pretty sure that's where my leaking issue is coming from because when I blow into the top piece alone while covering the end, its not air tight.

No, they seem way too large, but they do actually fit. I didn't believe it either and wasted an hour trying others in my o ring stash, lol! Don't waste an hour like I did :). Its a pain in the ...., but the clear o rings do actually fit.

Roxy, why not use a smaller bit so the coil is narrower than the channel? You could also lift the coil a tad higher. I hate to throw away a good coil, but it sounds like yours is drooping down and shorting on the deck.

You might guess I've tried those, lol! Interestingly, this was not a problem the first few weeks. I think my W deck is shot. Which makes me think the coating may be slowly coming off.

Before I bought one of the authentics, I spoke to my son who is a CNC machinist & certified mechanic about what it would take to re-Ematal the clone decks & chimney. It is a expensive process because you can't just re-coat it. All the original coating needs to be sandblasted to bare aluminum. Also there are several types of anodizing finishes. Since our clones need to hold a somewhat close tolerance so everything fits together (he mentioned the type of anodizing finish it would need but I forgot the exact name).

It would be different if you were going to do 75-100 of them at a time, but to just do a few, the cost would run more than buying the real thing.

Exactly. Hence why I bought the authentic.

Any method to being able to get it to go in there flush? It seems anytime I poke down the part that's sticking up, it just sticks up from another side.

I used my fingers and a straight precion screwdriver to hold some while I carefully worked my way around til it was all in flush.

OK, I'll give it a whirl. Thanks for your quick response. I'll like it when I'm on my computer. Hopefully this fixes it because other than the leaking, it works great.

That o-ring up there only seems impossible to fit in if there's already one in there. That was the mistake I made, and ended up cussing at it for about an hour. They're really hard to see or feel. Why they didn't just put red ones in there...:grr: All I really needed to do was just push the insert a little farther in and twist it around in there to make sure the o-rings were properly seated, instead of messing around with the o-ring that I thought was missing.

One way to see where the leak is is to fill the tank with water and leave it upside down for a few minutes. If it's leaking from the triangles, then you'd know for sure that it's the tank o-rings. You'd even be able to tell if it's the top one or bottom one. Another place it could leak at is where the chimney screws into the top cap. Then it would leak at the drip tip hole. I put teflon tape on the chimney threads on mine.

I think I read through each post in this thread. Seems pretty grim for the Squape-R clones. And, they are recent, too. If I knew that it was a good clone...but, I can't.

I don't blame you!

All my other clones are fine though. I have a kayfun, taifun, Erlkonigin, 2 Rosev2s, and magma.

I also have 2 cheap authentics that are fine: Lemo and Doge.

So no problems with anything tiil I met Chuckie.

if anyone needs parts angelcigs now has the squape reloaded clones named the AC-R Rebuildable Tank Atomizer

My gosh! I missed this. Where on earth or mars did these guys come from at those prices and shipped from the USA! Appears to be the new kid on the block and determined to undercut the Father of Chuckie aka FT!

Decks look like somekind of Alumanum which is fine with me as the clone brigade appears to use the supper thin and not the real deal unknown coating and NOT emetal coating which is very exspensive. Ask my W deck which is toast.

Anyone tried them for a SR? If a bunch of us get one each at a paltry cost we can share the agony or joy? /lol hahahah

EDIT: @350 just admit it! Your in!

OMG!!! Let's Man Up please and get one!

Consider the risk reward formula:

They have a 30 day money back warranty so the MAX it's going to cost me (my risk) is around a WOPPING $7.00 with the potential to save me around $180 dollars (my reward). Since my time is cheap and I'm already a self proclaimed SR clone (KingTut works Dandy) expert /lol /joke I will take those odds any day of the week and twice on sunday. Of course, I also put a limit on the procedure and that's one hour to fish or cut bait.

Convinced?

:)

I'm in Canada and they don't ship here or I would chance another for that price :)
