Roxy, Pete posted a pic awhile back that I thought was pretty dead on (haha that's how I do it too):

@SeniorBoy: No, I don't see much difference between the original SQr and a working clone. I trim the wick just like they tell you - flush to the edge of the deck. As long as you get the wick density right, you're good. I use rayon for everything and pack the coil tight. With cotton, you need to use less in the coil because the cotton will expand.

One thing I have noticed about squape wicks is they tend to "grow" down the channel as some shorter fibers work themselves out of the wick. When I refill, I'll sometimes trim away any long tails hanging down. At the low wattages I like to vape at, long tails don't seem to matter. But I occasionally go over 15 watts and any long tails seem to slow down the wicking. So I chop off the tails and the vape is juicier.

Mine is still leaking through the adjustable vent holes on the bottom not sure what to do I've tried wicking it two different ways because I have watched a couple of videos that show it not actually in the channels going to the bottom 1 video he only had his WIC stopping flush they was not any overhang, any help would be greatly appreciated.Looks like I'm not alone when it comes to the leaking out of the adjustable holes.

Mine was also leaking thru the AFC hole
I lowered the coil into the channel, stuffed the channel full of cotton all the way around and down to the bottom and it stopped leaking
I used a lot of cotton wet it with juice and used a small screw driver to pack it in :)

I'm going to give up on today, this is the second day I've tried I've yet to have an atomizer that was so difficult to wick,my kayfun was a piece of cake compared to this thing,I rinsed it off real good will let it dry and try again tomorrow I don't give up easy. This might be asking a little too much but if I could see a pic without the OC,just the coil where it is setting in the channel in relation to where the vent hole is,a side view.

The above was inspired by the following vid. Using S deck in my KingTut. So far it works like a champ. Outstanding flavor and tons of clouds. Vaping AHL TTA @ 50/50. Japanese organic cotton. 10 wraps around a 2MM screw driver. Kanthal 28 guage. Reads 1.5 ohms on a 4 day old coil. It wont win any beauty contests! /lol

Bought mine from Mid-South Trading on Ebay, it's a Kingtu. It gurgles and leaks from the airhole (not much though) after using both S and W decks with org. cotton, Japanese cotton, and rayon. Any suggestions?

First, check to see that your wick is remaining in place when you turn the base upside-down to screw onto the tank. Prime the wick lightly; an oversaturated wick is heavy and will fall away from the wick channel when you invert the base. The wick can also get pushed out of the channel by the turning chimney as you screw the base to the tank. I wish the Squape chimney could be unscrewed like a Kayfun's so you could see that the wick is remaining in place.

Loss of vacuum in the tank will allow the fluid level inside the chimney to rise and flow out of the air hole. Check the o-ring at the base and replace if it is damaged or too thin to seal properly. The clone threads are not machined as precisely as the authentic's and may need help to seal. Finally, use the allen key to make sure the chimney is screwed tight to the top. Put a small o-ring on the top of the chimney if you suspect an air leak there.

Hi Roxy:

Where did you purchase your Kingtu from?

Sounds like you got a good one. Might order a couple of them for myself (along with the authentic one that is on it's way to me)

OMG! The Kingtu works! Out of the box! The decks even snap in perfectly like they are supposed to!

Chuckie is retired. He will be for parts if needed :)

After removing the deck is it normal for one of the post to have some play in it? It is screwed on tight but I was wondering if one of the post supposed to have somewhat of a little left to right movement as normal.

I shouldn't be rotating at all. I would take the deck off and tighten it with pliers.
