So today me and my room mate were on our way to work in his car he has a ego setup as well. (recent convert once I moved in with him) Anyway he got pulled over for not conforming with the rate of travel restrictions. So the cop was a nice guy after he came back he saw my lavatube and my roomate noticed him grilling it, so he says "i knew you would say something about this, its an e cigarette. i went on to show him one of the batteries and he noticed them for their use for flash lights he left us with a congratulations on not smoking anymore and of course a ticket, but made a point to leave a good message for the judge. I just thought it was cool because his reaction was oh i haven't seen one like that before and ive always wondered what a cop that had never seen a mod would think and now i know!
Let me know if you guys have ever been asked about your setups by an officer before

more than my share with the justice system. but for the most part the troopers i have met are great people. fair, and respectful if you treat them with the same amount of respect. it is also a lot better if you are not involved in any major wrongdoing. i know both sides of that coin. playing by the rules lessens the shock of meetings with those brave public servants.i doubt everyday motor vehicle operators are going to have a problem with PV's, and mods as long as they are being used as the manufacturer intended. there will be problems in areas where other stuff is a plague on society. not just smoking cigs. as more than likely they will be used as delivery devices for other things that law enforcement will be interested in. play nice in the sandbox and you have less stress.

I was leaving campus one day and was puffing on my box-mod blowing huge plumes of vape. I didn't notice the cops behind me and after a block or so they hit their lights. Walked up to my window and gave me some BS story of how I was blocking an intersection (which I know I was not) and then casually asked, "what are you smoking there." They seemed kinda bummed-out when I told them it was an e cigarette.

I got pulled over by a city cop while using my v-max about a year ago because he thought I was "using drug paraphernalia while driving" his words. After a lengthy explanation and a tutorial he wanted to know where he could pick one up for himself. I gave him a few ideas and let him know where the local b&m was so they could explain some of the less expensive starter equipment. All in all my most pleasant experience being pulled over.

The Deputies at the security check-n at the county courthouse asked me to demonstrate my PV when I went to finalize my divorce a coupla years ago. The female Deputy mentioned, "I've never seen one that big before." I told her I get that all the time! ;)

I was allowed to vape in the courthouse!

I got a major laugh out of this!

Haven't had run-ins with the fuzz, but most who ask me what I'm doing refer to it as smoking, so of course, I have to be the bad guy and correct their verbiage.

I got pulled over after the last episode of Breaking Bad. Went for, ironically, a beer run (got home late, hadn't drank anything yet). Went through the rigamarole (light over license plate was out). He shined his flashlight onto my lap (which had my eGo-T passthrough sitting on it). I lifted it up, turned it a little, and said, "This is an electronic cigarette. That's liquid nicotine in there." He looked at it, went, "Hmh", and sent me on my way without a ticket.

The majority of cops aren't dumb.

If they catch you red-handed in an illegal act, you still have the right not to talk, but YOU know, and THEY know, and the COURT will know, you committed a crime. Keeping mum will only go so far.

I have no idea where this hate for cops comes from. If they ...... you off, you most likely broke a law. If they hassle you, it's because you probably did something to attract their attention.

This isn't 1981. We're not in Martial Law. They're the same as you and me: citizens who took a vow to uphold the law of the land with their lives. How one can hold a candle to a soldier and despise a cop is baffling.

Some cops are bullies, but a very small cross section of the public has dealt with bully cops. If you got pulled over and were bullied and you were driving while intoxicated, your opinion is not valid. They were doing their job and got a drunk driver off the streets.

I'll listen to anyone who has a bully cop story, but I'd like to know how many are truthful when it comes to why the cops were called in the first place.

Lastly, who you gonna call when some dbag punk has a gun held to your head? Batman? The Ghostbusters? No. A flipping cop! Hate them all you want, but they're there to serve and protect you (edit: with their life).

Again, I say, if you had a bad experience with a cop, 99.9999% of the time, it was you who copped an attitude, not the cop.

Know your rights.

Exercise them.

Being slimy doesn't make you savvy... it makes you slimy.

I am going to TOOT TOOT my own horn here.

I have chilled with Chappelle. And Mos Def. And Wyclef Jean, and Erykah Badu. All through Chappelle. He lives in Yellow Springs, Ohio, where I used to work. He helps organize the annual Blues Fest there.

1) Mos Def is one of the most intelligent, well-rounded, well-spoken individuals I have ever been blessed to meet and talk to.
2) I could barely understand a single word Wyclef Jean said.
3) Erykah Badu has the greenest green eyes you will ever see, and she's about 5'2" tall. Her African head-dress is misleading.
