I am still rolling down the window in the car!

My almost 19-year-old daughter has actually requested that we at least crack the windows slightly while vaping heavily if she's in the car. It's not that she is concerned about the vapor... it's that she actually doesn't like some of the more potent aromas that my husband and I can create, especially when the heater is circulating the air around. (My husband has this unfortunate habit of taking five or six different juices and combining them together to see what it tastes like. While it uses up the tail end of our juice bottles, it can make for... unusual... aromas.) :D

the goal of stealth vaping is no visible vapor, and I failed miserably at doing that recently at a restaurant. I took a rather long hit and held it in for a while. When I blew it out down towards my lap I could see the vapor. I saw my friend across the table staring behind me wide eyed. apparently I had made quite a cloud and it drifted into the toddler in a high chair behind me, I had no clue he/she was there. My friend said the parent picked the kid up right away, but wasn't sure if it was b/c of me as they didn't seem to look over or be annoyed. If they were I would have turned around and apoligized and told them it was just my medical inhaler. either way I felt kinda bad.

I stealth vape at my desk at work. No one has said it is a no-no to vape, but being the type of office it is, I'm pretty sure open vaping would considered the no-no. However, if I go outside to vape, there is no way in hell I'm going anywhere near their "designated smoking area," which is in the middle of a parking lot without shelter, wind breaks, shade, etc. I'll go to my car first.

I started vaping about 2 weeks before I left my office/desk job. This is how I handled it. The 2nd or 3rd day after I started vaping, I went to see the manager. The conversation went something like this:

Me: I'd like to show you something.
Him: O.K.
Me: See this? (holding out my Joye 510)
Him: What is it.
Me: It made me quit smoking. (he had always badgered me to quit).
Him: When did you quit?
Me: About 3 months ago. (A big fat lie)
Him: congratulations.
Me: The thing is, I've been using this in here for a few months now at my desk and I wanted to be sure there was no problem. (At this point, I gave him a shorthand explanation of how it doesn't stink or leave residue or linger in the air or create any real smoke). Mind if I show you?
Him: Well, I guess so. (I take a small puff and blow it in the air)
Me: Can you smell anything?
Him: No, not really.
Him: You've been using that for months?
Me: Yeah. Since it's not smoking, it never occurred to me I was breaking any rules. But I thought I'd better get your o.k. before I continued.
Him: Uhhh...Well, o.k., as long as no one complains. I don't see why they would though. Where'd you get that?

Then, we had a conversation about e-cigs and I gave him the addy for this site to give to his son.

For some reason I can't bring myself to do it in public (vape, that is).

I feel the same way. As an ex-smoker (I love saying that) its hard to free myself from the stigma that surrounds smoking, and if I start vaping where other can see me who don't know, I start feeling guilty.
