I finally quit smoking and switched to only vaping just over 4 months ago. I really thought by now I would have noticed a difference in my breathing but I haven't. My chest still feels tight and like I can't get fully catch my breath. Still get winded easily going up stairs, etc. Still feel like I smoke :(. I will probably talk to my doctor about it eventually but just curious if this seems normal or unusual to any of you? Wondering if I'm expecting too much too soon? I smoked a pack to 1 1\2 per day for 20+ years.

This may or may not be relevant, but some few of us suffer the same symptoms as a result of too high a percentage of vg. I had the same symptoms when vaping 20/80. I switched to 70/30 and they went away in a couple of weeks. For this reason, I would never buy a liquid that didn't specify the percentages of the base liquids.

How does 50/50 work out in this area?

I am not a doctor and do not pretend to be one.

I did not expect to see much change after switching to vape. Well over thirty years of smoking cigars, pipes and cigarettes can take a toll on one's body. Only use max VG since the PG did not fare well for me. IDripping has become the norm and still, the effects are noticeable. First and foremost, no more waking and hacking what seemed like a lung. Stamina has increased, too. Walking is no longer such a chore. Still, shortness of breath but I can go on hour+ long walks that were impossible before.

See your doctor! Expect improvement even if it is slow in coming.and most important, stay off the tobacco!

I would go to the DR about your breathing issues. May be a partial heart blockage AKA heart attack waiting to happen. I noticed MUCH better "wind" within 1 month for sure. I have smoked high PG/ high VG and currently smoke 50/50.

I could shovel snow for 1.5 hours this winter without getting winded, just tired and sore. Last winter 15 minuted would leave me gasping for a bit.
Vaping has been my only lifestyle change.

I am one month away from 61.
