(And I believe you're looking for "nosocomial", not "non-socomial" (NOT in a hospital)
Right you are I didn't realize I wrote it that way until you pointed it out, I must have mixed nonsocial with nosocomial. Didn't think of lysol but that does work if you have some around.

No big, and like I said - not picking on you Joe. I'm betting that Google won't return "nosocomial" for "nonsocial". [just tried it, it didn't] and that's the only reason I posted the note. I know a lot of readers will copy-paste-google a word they don't know, and that was the only point I was making (in my response to you). It wasn't intended to be snarky (towards you) in any way.

I think we virtually know/read each other often enough that we can short-hand that way, right?

I appreciate the correction more than anything, I was unaware I wrote it that way. So no worries. :)

Is there a doctor in the house? No? Then this isn't exactly the place to turn for medical advice, IMO. ;)

I think Steve's given the best advice; play it safe, don't take chances with your and your family's health, and just toss the carts you've used since being exposed.

But, if you don't go that way, you can take some comfort in the known anti-microbial properties of PG. I'd guess that the biggest worry for re-infection would be the exterior of the cartos, not from the insides.

"concomitant", "nosocomial" and, BY FAR, "borborygmi" are my three favorites.

Wait: We could "contract a nosocomial infection with accompanying concomitant borborygmi", right? Woah! My three favorite words in one place! Awesome! :) Can we get "concatenation" in there too?

>>Wow! Thanks Adrenalynn! But, Strep throat is a bacteria, it is not a virus, and therefore antibiotics are prescribed.

Lysol kills bacteria. 99.9% + where Strep Group A is concerned, in point-of-fact. 99.999% for MRSA (A Staph strain), since it was mentioned. Recommended for both, in fact, by the CDC, and approved for that use by the EPA.

>> you wouldn't appear so crasp.

Your inability to grasp what I write is your failing, not mine.

>> Let's not mix words or scientific methods

Given your capacities for retention of even one - your unwillingness to mix them is unsurprising.

>> cute if you are into micro biology

Quite, actually. Virology, specifically. Vector, more specifically. Something of a hobby...

>> JARGON is not an indication of itelligence.

I'm sure you can agree that the ability to SPELL 'intelligence' would generally be considered a prime indicator...

>> Next time elaborate on what you are trying to convey witout your googled JARGON... smile.

I elaborate upon what I'm trying to convey just fine, "wit or witout" [sic] reference material, thanks!

As far as what I understand or don't - you're making assumptions that underscore your ignorance.

When you develop even some modicum of literacy, and understand the most basic salient points of a topic under discussion, well then feel free to go ahead and attack me again... In the meanwhile, thanks for the laugh...

Wow, you have to know that microbiology is why virology exist, don't you? I mean streph, e-coli, staph, and many others where first introduced through, that's right MicroBiology. All you have done is point out ...I'm still waiting for it... That's exactlly what I was saying. You use your Jargon to say...ummm, nothing that couldn't be said without it. Gram+ and Gram-, wow you are something special. Intelligence is something measured by others, and a few psychological test dear. This is not an attack, just an attempt for you to do some self-reflecting. Please stop trying so hard to make yourself appear smart, and realize who your audience is everyday American people, who may not care for all your( "look at me, I'm smart" )...JARGON... Enough said!

I wasn't going to say anything when I read this a few hours ago, but what the heck. I think that Leaford is ABSOLUTELy right in his advice to take some comfort in the Anti-microbial properties of PG. I'm no scientist (yet!) ~ but I was highly impressed with this article from 1942 and I'm STILL trying to find out whatever happened in this study. So I can't gaurantee that vaping PG is of any benefit, but this article leads me to believe it just might be ~ and especially in a case such as this! Anyway, read this article and consider the possibility that the PG vapor MIGHT actually assist in killing those nasty little strep bacteria.

P.S. ~ I haven't found more about the results of study (except some claims that ZigCigs made regarding the autopsies on those monkeys (favorable results) ...but I can't find any VERIFIABLE info as of yet) ~ but I did learn that the man in charge of the study Dr. Oswald Hope Robertson (1886 - 1996) was the man responsible for pioneering the idea of blood banks!
