Doesn't it save time if one simply pops the snus out of the Icetool and shoves it directly betwixt one's upper lip and gum, or am I being crazy here?

I gave it an honest try, and I'll try again some time in the future, but all I ever got was mud mouth after 30 minutes or less. It's a lot less hassle for me to roll my own. I like the flavors of some of the loose better and there is a good deal of money to be saved.

What's needed is someone to come out with some pre-cut sheets of tea-bag materiel. Kind of like papers for RYO tobacco.

Get mud-slide & copious bit-spitting here too with loose, does taste nicer & initially more comfortable tho
- & feels like a stronger 'hit' as well - at least than tinned portions,
RYO portions seem somewhere inbetween

Wonder if it's worth contacting a snus manufacturer (V2?, they seem to listen)
to ask if they'd consider selling their portion-paper for RYO ?

You'd think in a world where they can sell an already rolled cigarette paper containing a filter along with loose tobacco and a tube stuffer, a RYO snus maker kit shouldn't be to hard to market.
exo, with only a couple uses of the los, I haven't had any problems except that I'm afraid to do anything but sit and enjoy. To carry on my duties while having loose tobacco in a precarious location may invite a mudslide. I don't doubt that with continued use all will be workable, but not yet.

that would be an amazing thing, if you could buy a roll of RYO snus paper. maybe even icetool or prismaster would be interested in that idea

I hear ya. Roda Lacket was my first los. That stuff's like playdough and makes it almost difficult to have a mudslide. The same is true of Offroad Cranberry los. Now Grov los seems to have an innate ability to mudslide, even though the taste of it is incredible.

Once I learned to pack the los real tight in the Icetool, then shove it as far up between my lip and gums as possible, I finally started getting somewhere. I still don't recommend los if you are drinking any kind of liquids though.

Saw a thread at snuson about RYO snus. Someone found this

D7.se - Portionspåsar - Snustillbehör

A bit pricy but someones making portion bags. I think these are cut in half so you get 400 for about $9.95, though shipping will likely add a good deal to that. Now if Northerner or getsnus carried these it might be worth a try to throw in on the next order.

Good find, will be ordering some later today,

Price is not too bad, fed up with buying teabags, cutting and chucking the tea down the sink.

If the bags are cut in two, presumably you'd have to heat seal one end of
one of the halves to make two the same, or probably folding is perfectly OK anyway.

- and getting one of their 'syringe' looking things,

been using an open-ended sawn-off 3 ml syringe, but finding the plunger
swells with TF juice (or the barrel shrinks) = difficult to get plunger back in
after several uses - hope theirs is a more resistant material.

Yeah, too rich for my blood at this point, especially with shipping on top of that. Good find, though. I would imagine since Swedish snus is growing enough in popularity here in the States for snus makers to start catering flavors, in the future we may see this available from one of our regular vendors, Stubby :).

Yes, we're all interested in the practicalities, doesn't the flour make it taste er .. flour-y ?

Got some Woodland bags, some pristine empty teabags (from Taiwan!)
and some of those Portionspåsar (portion bags) + filler syringe from D7.se coming,
so will be doing a head to head test when they all arrive.

There was at first as the mix I used would have held together angle iron.
I have gone a lot weaker now with the mix and put it on with a very fine brush (cocktail stick would work)
I cut a piece about inch and a half by one inch, touch of the glue and fold length way’s
Let it dry.
Put in the snus and you can give it another fold along the top it you wish.

I can make up enough packs for the day this way and they hold together .
