Hey guys,

I just posted a thread about this in General vaping, but thought I'd ask here too:

I ordered a kayfun v4 from Intaste on December 6th and it arrived on the 15th. Today I received an invoice from FedEx for about $13, consisting of a "Customs Duty" and an "Advancement Fee." I've ordered from Intaste before without receiving any invoice.

Is this irregular? Did anyone else get one?

I've heard of this before but not clear on the details. I'm sure someone will follow up.

I get those invoices all the time. I've never had one of them and have never had any repercussions.

They are tariffs charges charged by the United States Customs office and build through FedEx. The shipping vendor has nothing to do with it.

I received an $12.00 invoice from UPS when I ordered my Poldiac from MMVapors and I just paid for it, because the U.S. Customs states that they reserve the right to seize the item(s) in question. I don't want any visits from Uncle Sam, especially if it can be avoided. Besides, my Poldiac Classic was worth it and more.
PS: I never get customs invoices when I order from Cloud9Vaping:)

Maybe because of the overall price, could be over the custom band. Think it's anything over £75. Well it's something like that. That's how it works in the UK.

I have had those customs invoices and just paid them. I read somewhere, so it might be wrong that it does not get attention if the bill is under $200. InTaste is honest, so you may get pinged. Cloud9 marked my last package undervalued by a lot and as a gift.

Two kf4s from intaste, and so far nothing - though separate orders.

Do note that fedex has already paid. If you have a beef, the Feds are out of the picture. FedEx is big and tough, but they ain't a gonna seize anything, cept for maybe your next order. Or your wife's next order from Amazon for the kids...

I cannot thank you guys enough for all the great advice in this forum. Wrapped 28 G Kanthal around 1/8 drillbit 5 times, what an incredible Vape. I have enjoyed this so far but swapped cotton daily. This has just increased the flavor dramatically. I have also been using cotton balls I got from a pharmacy and finally tried the organic cotton and the rebuilding experience is getting better and better. I really appreciate this forum so much.

How's that black flag? Its sold out :( I love coffee juice but it's almost always not quite right. The best I've tried I make myself and it's just ok but if anyone cOuld do it right it's them. I just ordered some castle Long and fifth rank.

I am enjoying this juice.... It isn't as much coffee (espresso) as it is dark chocolate truffle. I can only do one or two tanks and have had enough.

Rich and complex for sure. I liked it so much I bought two more bottles before they were gone.

Where do you all buy that humongous box of rayon? I need one of those, only finding the smaller ones on Amazon.

Sally's Beauty Supply -- make sure to get Cellucotton rayon (not cotton) and that it is not reinforced (which uses polyester). Box with five hundred feet is $12-14. Enjoy!

The number on the box should be 44060 for the 500' box.

Everyone should be very careful of those emails. I have received a dozen or so that ask for the same customs and or advancement fees. They all have been scam emails. I'm not saying the ones you got are but I would call your local fedex or ups office before paying especially online with a credit card!

The ones I get come via regular mail in FedEx envelopes with FedEx letterhead.

FedEx, DHL, UPS, Aramex, TNT et all will never send emails*. This has been notified time & again on their website/s. Those invoices come via regular mail as Sedge stated.

*Except their Tracking updates, if you chose to subscribe for it

The Sally's (Graham's Cellucotton Rayon) reinforced that I have seen does not contain polyester.
The reinforcement is simply a strip of adhesive free paper.
This was confirmed by Graham's via email posted in the rayon thread.
