I know many of you ordered your K4 from Self-e-steam, and figured I would share part of an email that I just received from them...this also is informative for those still looking to order a K4 and had them in mind.

"As you may have read, according to the Dutch Act #456 dated 24.11.2014, from 1 February 2015 we are not allowed to sell atomizers with the capacity over 2 ml and e-liquids in bottles larger than 10 ml.. We did not expect that such regulation would come into force in The Netherlands before anywhere in the European Union.. This is sad and hard to believe, but we will comply with the law.

This means we are not able to sell most of our product range from 1 February 2015, including all atomizers and their parts from svoemesto, Atmomixani and other.. All our e-liquids will also be removed from the sale.. Almost all our products are already heavily discounted, so if you want to take advantage of this, please place your order before 31 January 2015."

All I can say is...wow

In it's most raw form, it is human beings forcing other human beings to live their lives according to their dictates. It's anything but freedom.

We don't know who screwed up and can't know without analyzing the designs of each device ourselves. There is nothing unconventional about Provape's thread. Its just not deep enough for the K4 adapter. How can you know if the K4 adapter is out of spec, or if the P3 is out of spec? Maybe they are both within spec and this is a tolerance issue that wasn't analyzed with the K4 in mind before production? Remember, most people don't have a gap, right? So where is the variation taking place? No way to know from our end.

There is no under-cut at the bottom of the threads, which is standard practice, (and can be seen on every blind threaded connection on the K4, including the P3 adaptor.) which contributes to the depth of the threaded area being entirely too shallow for that thread pitch.

If they really wanted to improve something, they should have made their P3 connection male, not female. (see Joyetech eVic Supreme, 23mm) Now that was a good idea! (which came out BEFORE the P3) The internal parts of the P3 all the way up to the positive contact are as compact and short as possible, a "fixed" dimension. The threaded connection had to be designed around this fixed positive contact point, and Provape decided to add a female threaded area on top of that instead of designing an external male connection around their fixed positive contact. So in order to conserve space and keep their device as short as possible, they made the threaded area too damn short for the task. Male threads could have been machined all the way to the battery cap without adding any overall height to the device.

I have the same gurgling issue with tighter draw on Kayfun v4, has anyone found a solution yet? I'm really frustrated...

I don't have this issue with airier draws but it's a shame such an expensive product to have problems with the AFC.

I tried to put some cotton in the screw, it was ok for a while and now I'm back again with the same issue.

I have cleaned it thoroughly and also checked every single part to be in the correct place...

I've read that Svoemesto team are working on updates for the spring and other optimisations, I hope the fix this soon...

I still think the design is fine. The threads just aren't deep enough. There are countless threaded connections readily available, such as pipe fittings, couplings and all sorts of things with internal threading that don't have a relief. They all work fine, so long as the threads are deep enough.

"The threads just aren't deep enough." That's a design flaw.

And that's how I know you aren't a designer.

You don't question the length of the adapter threading on the K4. You don't think at all. You just claim "DESIGN FLAW". If something doesn't work, it doesn't always = design flaw. It could be CNC operator flaw. It could be inspection flaw. It could be wrong drawing revision flaw, etc etc etc.

Pardon me sir, but this is a Kayfun thread, Provape apologists aren't allowed, only SM apologists

Same here. SM knows. We'll see.
