I mever had a kayfun, is it worth 180?

If you can afford it, yes. If you can't then a $20.00 Tobeco clone it's just about as good. IMO.

HD

The kayfun v4 may not be worth it to some, but that's no reason to run straight to the clone market.
You can get an authentic kayfun Lite Plus for like $70-$80 shipped from a number of vendors...
That would be the next step down from the Kayfun v4, before the clone market.
Now, as we've found out (the hard way) there are some folks who are extremely sensitive and defensive of their clones, and their authentics...so I want to be clear that I own both authentic -and- clone KFLs, but only an authentic v4.
If you're looking to go clone, I can HIGHLY recommend the EHPro version.
There's no need to recommend the authentics, as they pretty much speak for themselves.

Lol sorry my mistake. Was rushing and didn't see what i had wrote. I meant stiffer gold spring.
Still waiting on them to arrive at c9v.

Hey no worries. It was my fault for not Googling it first!

It _is_ bigger. Got mine from SM yesterday and it slightly greater diameter, both the wire and the spring itself. So much that it doesn't fit in the sleeve I bought from steamtuners, so to use the new spring I have to remove the sleeve.

Damn! That's good to know!

Good info, thanks. With it being larger and/or stiffer, is the juice control ring harder to spin?

^^^^^^^ Great question! Please, someone tell us!

Exactly. Why fight when there is no chance of winning? Just do what she says and move on. It's not really painful anyway. But I do have my limits. I'm not going to the opera or some girly crap. Beyond that I'll do whatever she tells me to do. Nothing to gain resisting.

Sounds just like my philosophy my friend. Like I said earlier, 38 years this year so our philosophy must work.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

Not to be argumentative but I think the later Tobeco have the EHPro beat. I've got both and the tobecco seems to be smoother.

I've never had one either so I can't compare it to other Kayfuns but I can say, if you go for the Kayfun4, IMO, the Authentic is the only way to go. Too many parts and pieces for the clones to do it right. I had a counterfeit and it was trouble from the jump. It's now sitting in a box collecting dust.

Once the build/wick is set up right in the KY4, it vapes awesome.

Mtek, I'd say JC is indeed slightly stiffer to spin, but not sure it's enough to allow a reliable use of JC as a real "modulator" instead of a binary on/off kind of thing, if that's what you have in mind :)

Screw that spring! (See what I did there?) you really don't need it with the Steamtuners mod

Yeah, that's my impression too..
After a spin on a dna40, I'd say steamtuner's sleeve is still the way to go for nickel builds, I'd just have liked the possibility to use the sleeve _AND_ the newer spring though

No one can decide for others if the K4 is worth $180. Everyone is different. You can pay much less for a clone but then they tend to be hit or miss. If you want it near-guaranteed perfect then authentic is the only way to go. Do you want Tide or do you want to save a few bucks and buy WalMart brand? Your choice. You have to wear the clothes.

But are they Walmart clothes or name brand designer clothes? May make a difference if you use Tide or Walmart brand laundry soap. Actually dry cleaning maybe better.

My better half thinks every vaping trinket I have cost $10-$25. Well, thats what I told her anyway. :p If mama's not happy, noone's happy.

Sometimes it backfires. Big. My oldest daughter was trying my V4 clone last nite on my mech mod, loved it. Wants to get one, but with a small box mod instead of a mech. Told her, "oh, I have this small box mod called a clouper mini arriving maybe Thursday or Friday, you can try that". Of course the wife rolls her eyes & asks how much that cost .....uh, $15.

So daughter hands me $25 to get the $15 clouper & the $10 Kayfun V4 clone (what I told her it costs) to go buy her one. I'm so screwed.

Some people just turn their underwear inside out after awhile instead of washing them and they don't need any soap. I'm a shorts/pocket-t/sandals kind of guy so I guess I don't qualify for Tide. :)
