SXK Billet box...

Woke up this morning to a giant mess as the whole thing has leaked. Tried to read back through the thread and cannot find much about the leaking.
Any help as to where it leaks from. Something I have done wrong?

Short answer is yes you've done something wrong I've heard some complaints about the chip in the 70 watt sxk but I believe all the other bits are the same. I have the sxk bb dna 60.

You have three possible points of leakage...the o rings top and bottom or the square seal for the glass. One of those has moved.

The glass does tend to try and push the top piece of seal if you let it, especially when building for the first time. It's very important to make sure that the glass is fully up to the top also...it gives a bit of resistance that last little bit before popping into place.

In my view the square seal is most likely, but check your top and bottom O rings also

I hope you managed to get all the juice off.....it might be a good idea to take the plate off covering the chip/screen just to see if there is any in there.....good luck...i love mine

Unfortunately I don't. The firmware I used was found on google - don't remember exactly what I was searching for.

Ok, thanks...i've downloaded a DNA60 BB theme from evolv forums and a guy there said he did have a copy of the original but he wasn't comfortable sharing it...the search continues...

I like my BB so much i've just ordered my second and i'm in discussion with Maddox Customs for some bespoke stabwood BB panels. I think this may be my favourite vape

Just a thought if you plug your BB in to escribe you'll be able to replicate/save the theme and send it through

Ok, thanks...i've downloaded a DNA60 BB theme from evolv forums and a guy there said he did have a copy of the original but he wasn't comfortable sharing it...the search continues...

I use that theme on Evolv's website by laurie9300 on all four of my BB. I really like that one.

Wishful thinking. The authentic BB doesn't have an USB port, just SXK BB DNA60 ones do. Some people connect up an USB board temporary though to make changes on the authentic through EScribe.

Yes that's the theme i've got on mine....noticed your comment there According to Wayneo a moderator on the forum it's pretty much the same as the original theme bar a couple of Logo's.

@dom qp has got the SXK BB 60 but it will be difficult because he's had to hide the usb feed under some new gold panels he got for it It's only a matter of removing the face plate though.

Yep, definitely something about these little things that 'float your boat'. Time will tell if they become exclusive

The immediate response is that seal. If it's not in place that glass is not proper sealed and you'll get leaking. Sure, it may be something else, but just from your description of it still slightly buckled is where I'd start my troubleshooting.

Yes, I figured it was that pesky thing. I went to sleep last night thinking I would send this thing back. I mean who needs to fool with plumbers tape and troubleshooting anyway. Not like it is my car and I can't live without it. Lord knows I have excess of 10 others things handy that give a 'good enough' vape.

I think it was both! The bottom one was not snug and I wrestled with the square one and got it to sit properly. I am going to buy 2-3 more boxes as back-ups. Can we just buy that square red thing?

Well this sounded easy when I read it so I went to work on it. Took out the 3 screws and tons of tiny stuff got jumbled up. The little plastic thing over the screen, another orange plastic thing and the triangle up and down buttons all became misplaced. At this point I sweat because I am not a gadgety type person and would not even know what to call any of this if I had to yell for HELP either here or consulting youtube

That's really good to hear that you've got the face plate back on otherwise I would have felt responsible A bit difficult to pop over and sort it out for you too

Yes you can get loads of accessories for it....including a replacement glass kit which includes the seals.

Glad you're back on track...it would be a shame to be put off on your first day. And well done for keeping calm and fixing the plate/buttons etc. The thing to remember with these things is to not rush...you've got plenty of time to relax have a cup of tea...and try again

Well you can buy the red square o-ring separately like from BBV. But you can order the whole tank from China for the same price or less anyway.

Any BB leaks I had was on rebuildables and I didn't use enough wicking. And then they only leaked when I filled them when I broke the vacuum in the tank. Although those prebuilt coil heads for the A-Tank are just awesome. It is hard for me to build my own again after I experienced the performance of these things.

I wouldn't worry about a leak getting inside of the mod too much. As it is sealed pretty well. As that face plate has a rubber seal around it. And the only wide open spot to get juice inside is through the USB port. And even with a very bad leak, it is hard to get any amount of juice in there normally to worry about.

Although, I think that a healthy caution about juice in the dna chip is probably best. During my research I heard some bad things to do with juice ingress and failing chips. I agree about the USB port as that is on the other side of the box well away from the tank.

For those persons hoping to buy an OG BB, having the screen flipped and the OG logo showing makes it much more difficult to spot a clone. I can only think of 2 ways without removing any panels. I hope you don't suffer that fate in future purchases. And that's why I wouldn't send it to you.
If you felt it was all on the up and up, you could easily have asked in the authentic thread here as opposed to multiple times in multiple places.

Hi @Wayneo I appreciate what you're saying here but it is never my intention and never would be to do anything fraudulent with any of my vape gear. I merely wished to have the firmware for my own pleasure which has been offered to me by the way

Just ordered the orange/brown honeycomb panels from provape uk - SXK Billet Box V4 Honeycomb Doors - Brown/Orange seems not many places have the sxk panels in stock, not cheap from the UK, but really wanted new panels. Thanks for the link to their store @charlie1465

I noticed they are showing some of the new Bantam boxes in stock now too, SXK Bantam Box looks a nice little kit, but not interested in a 18350 mod, even MTL vaping, doesn't last long enough for me, but I do run clapton coil at 20 watts.

Yep...the bantam box is nice but i.m the same...i shy away due to the 18350 batt.

Glad you got the panels...it worked nicely for me when I found them because they're close and FT has them all discontinued...

Got another BB on the way It's a terrible addiction
