I got an SXK BB. Didn't get it new so I don't have manuals etc. For it. The screen went blank but the mod still works. I have tried button configurations to switch it on ,but nothing worked so far.
Is there maybe someone with experience with this that can give me info on how to switch it on?
Also, the screen might be bad. The ones for the DNA 60 can be had for under 10 bucks and are relatively easy to replace. Just a small Molex type ribbon socket.Well if it is a DNA60 board and you don't have EScribe to connect it up to a PC, it might be in Stealth mode.
Click the fire button 5 clicks. Now it shouldn't fire because it is in lock mode. While in lock mode, press the fire and down buttons for 5 seconds. That will switch it to normal mode. If no screen, I'd do it again because it must be something else and now it is in Stealth mode. So again will take it back top normal mode. It is still locked, so 5 fire button presses and it should fire once again.
Sxk board. I heard it's an Asmodus board. Not sure myself and followed some advice I got on that board. It didn't work.Do you know whether yours has the Evolv board or the SXK board? If you don't know someone here might know how to tell the difference.
FYI. I just got a new one and it didn't have a manual either.
What advice didn't work?............ followed some advice I got on that board. It didn't work.
2F seems to be the fastest shipping right now. Only took 3 weeks from order to escaping customs yesterday. My FT and 3F have been in limbo for a month and a halfOrdered a Xeta from Gas City.
Might regret this but I also ordered 4 Boro tanks from FT. Hard to resist at $20 shipped for four tanks. Gas City were out of them today, I looked yesterday and they had them in stock. I would have paid a bit more to get them from GC just to be sure they would arrive this year.
I'm surprised the 2F stuff is taking that long, which shipping method did you use?I made 2 orders with them last month, each time i paid i think about $5 for shipping. The first order from time of order to hitting my mailbox was 6 days, the 2nd order took just shy of 2 weeks from order to mailbox.2F seems to be the fastest shipping right now. I can thank ISC. It sat there for over a week and a half. Considering I’m only consistently getting mail delivery about 3 days a week right now, customs is just the first bump in the road here.I'm surprised the 2F stuff is taking that long, which shipping method did you use?I made 2 orders with them last month, each time i paid i think about $5 for shipping. The first order from time of order to hitting my mailbox was 6 days, the 2nd order took just shy of 2 weeks from order to mailbox.
and they got the vapesnail and bridg'd in stockGas City got in a new shipment
I broke the positive post on my first Xeta - an SXK. I bought a YFTK version and discovered that there is about 0.5mm more room for the coil between the posts so 3mm id coils fit better. I've also found that the chimney section has a sturdier O ring on the SXK. The YFTK was spinning inside the Boro when I screwed down the 510 key so the best combo for me is the YFTK deck and barrel with the SXK chimney. The one I broke I had done a stack of builds on all with fairly fine wire, 28-30g, I "thought" I was fairly careful with it, I was aware of the issues with the genuine version... I can be a bit heavy handed at times and using the allen/hex key it's fairly easy to go overboard due to the leverage it provides... I've been thinking next time I rebuild I might switch to the included straight slot screws so I cant over-tighten..
There's so little metal to the sides of the hole through the positive post it's no surprise they're fragile, I understand why it is like that, if they made the post any heftier you wouldn't be able to fit a 3mm coil in there..
When I first built the xeta I used the tall screws to partly block off the wick ports but this seemed to cause gurgles and flooding after refilling, it was hard to get the cotton fluffed all around the screw to stop the juice flooding into the chamber when the boro was opened, I ended up going back to the short screws because it was easier to get the cotton to fill/seal the port without a screw poking up into the area... This is also why I've stuck with 3mm coils so I can get as much cotton as possible in there...
Yes - pretty sure its an Asmodus GX80 boardSxk board. I heard it's an Asmodus board. Not sure myself and followed some advice I got on that board. It didn't work.
That's very good. When I was comparing mine a few months ago all I did was look for the rounded off points on the clamps to see if they cloned the prototype or the production version.I broke the positive post on my first Xeta - an SXK. That's interesting - manufacture runs maybe. My YFTK chimney o ring even looks a bit thinner than the SXK. First thing I noticed when I unpacked it and had a look at the 2.That's very good. They must use different o-rings as they are available though or something because the tension between the chimney and the barrel is the same on my YFTK and SXK.

I ordered the full kit today. Along with a Bridg'd and a third Xeta. Excited to see how it is.Got the vapesnail in the mail today. I set it up without the inserts and its a bit airy but great vapor production. I need to know what insert to use, and where to place it to get more juice suction in the chamber? I dont want to vape mtl, I just want to create a semi restricted dl vape with more juice flow. I cant use less wicking because that will flood the chamber.![]()
My snail should be here in a few days,it's in Kentucky now,so probably have it Monday or so,but very interested in trying it out.I only got the basic one without the inserts though, and a spare tank section.I plan to order the Bridg'd and Krma as well, but i caved and bought the red SXK today,so those atty's will have to wait a while now haha.I ordered the full kit today.
