Ahhh, I see. I never use mine in non-TP mode, so I wasn't aware of the Ramp-up issue. The only refinement problem I've ever had was when my K4 spring decided to .... in and screw with it, but I solved that months ago. (and evidently you can turn that off on the latest dna boards)...which leads me to my biggest gripe with the dna: not user up-gradable!!

So basically the SXM has way more features than the DNA40, but as far as vape quality goes, the only real difference is the ramp-up in non-TP applications?

Saw this earlier today, @Technonut might like this one, so I thought I'd post it here: Smok Temperature Control Tank TCT

The SMOK TCT, looks like their VCT Pro, but with ni200 coils. Dual vertical ni200 coils at that. Could be interesting, not sure how well that is going to work though. I've already got a VCT Pro, so I'll definitely be picking up a pack of the ni200 coils to test out.

Well, that ramp up is in tc mode as well.
The dna40 fires similarly to the sxm of there was a place between 'soft' and 'standard'.
The powerful and powerFU+ are huge advantages to the yihi board.

And if you are lucky enough to have an earlier firmware release, or the very latest. Boards built in February give or take a month which have the last version before the "atty lock" function are a pain in TC mode. Seems like the earliest boards didn't have the refinement issue (which it sounds like you have in your flask)

One thing I thnk these TL devices are going to do is make atty manufactures really focus more on static resistance, materials used, capturing mechanisms, contact surfaces etc.. or else as more and more people gravitate toward TL devices they won't be purchasing those that don't work consistently. For example I have two authentic Fogger v4.x each have a copper positive screw but the clone Fogger 4.x I have has a chrome plated steel screw. I would bet the authentic would work ok on TL but I doubt I'd be able to get the clone to be consistent.

And if you want your rDNA upgraded to the new firmware VS wants 100bucks to do it

Is that for in warranty or out of warranty? I'm presuming Evolv is only warrantying defective boards not revisions?
That is VaporShark's policy. I had 2 devices that I got 1 week and 2 weeks respectively before VS announced the firmware upgrade, and that is their response.. Sorry, I give them over $300 for 2 devices that do not function properly, and that is their response- pay them another $200. No thank you.

I have since reached out to Evolv to see how they handle it, hopefully better, or the first YiHi TL device that comes out that is as compact as the VS, and I'll jump ship from Evolv altogether

Right, VS is saying you bought it like this, you keep it like this.
If the screen is going coocoo for coco puffs they'll take care of it..

I was aware of the refinement issues some people were having, and not to be a fan-boi, but I don't see a vape quality issue with the ramp-up profile of the Evolv, although It sounds like the SXM would be more appealing with it's multiple settings.

Believe me, the last thing I want is to be labeled an Evolve fanboi! (I've had it out with a couple of them on more than one occasion) But I had to step in when the quality of vape issue came up. For 6 month old technology, the DNA40 is still a fantastic vape, and I really have a problem with anyone saying otherwise. I don't doubt for a second that the SX is better, and if it were a higher quality piece of hardware with dual-18650s I would own one.

It sounds like Evolv isn't reimbursing the vendors to replace early revision boards. That would be a big expense for the vendor to replace all the early adopters, so they just kinda get stuck with that rev. without the bug fixes and enhancements that came in later versions. Or else they are reimbursing them and the vendors just being greedy.

Ummmm I own 4 rdna40s, 2dna40s 1dna40 DIY Hana and 2 dna30s

I would hold the title as evolv fanboi.before most, I tried the SXM and the vape is so much better that before day 1 was out I had a second one on order and the extension for dual batteries enroute.

Is the dna40 a bad vape? No, its not. Especially with an Atlantis ni200 coil, I. Fact its a very pleasant vape and a great board.
What I am saying is the SXM provides an exponentially better vape for several reasons.

Really should get back OT, This is SXmini M!!! thread :)

And mine is still working fantastic. Went up a bit last night to .12Ω don't really notice much difference between .9Ω still makes vapor gone through a tank already and just as consistent as ever.

@Fir3b1rd did you try any logo changer over the weekend?

Okay guys I am gonna go ahead and pull the trigger. I will ignore the PowerFu+ && the && and just do it. Hopefully a sleeve comes out soon so I can protect it. Who offers the fastest shipping to Virginia you think?

I think most vendors that have them in stock typically offer 2 day priority mail. I ordered mine from varitube.com on a Friday and received it on Monday. From Florida to Oklahoma.

No man, I got totally sidetracked with non-vape-related mod things.
Gonna have to look into that and do research after work.

Been using Atlantis coils at a 0.14-0.15 and zero issues.

Actually, to make an apples to apples comparison, try comparing a black or other painted ProVari if you want to make a comparison. The satin stainless finish is unpainted, so would not be an equal comparison
I have an emerald green , blue , and also the stainless. The blue is about 15 months ,green 10 months and the stainless is the p3 which was released last Nov. All look 98-100 % like they did when they were new. I also own the S class in blk which I purchased in January and no issues with it.
I'm the type who babies his things I'm that guy that parks at the end of the row so I can get a corner spot to avoid dings.
I feel pretty comfortable in my comparison.
Thinking my apples are pretty accurate.
