Well I ordered 2 carbon fiber Jwraps black and grey same as my M's. They look like they go on pretty good but will have my wife do it.

I seen someone with a wood grain somewhere, cant find it right now but it was trimmed to not cover any of the C-frame and it looked pretty good. It did still have a slit under the contour of the grip but still looked good. It's been ages since I was around RC planes but curious if they make any self adhesive Monokote that would shrink. That would be really nice to get a completely conformed fit without slits if so.

I contacted the vendor about my bad black Mini. He said he would give me another but he only has grey left and that the Version 2 black Mini's will be shipped towards the end of May. He also said that is when the frosted Yihi sleeve would come out as well. Should I wait on the black or take the grey? Is the black that much more sexier then the grey?

Which looks better?- that's your decision ... I think the black vapes better once the paint wears off...
Are you using a Ni200 build in that Mutation? And if so, what specs?
you bet... 24 ga, 11 1/2 wraps... I tried 26 ga and that was really good too but 24 is just sooooo smooth... more wraps, more contact etc... ko gen doh wick

Well I have both and I like the grey every bit as much as the black. The grey is a darker grey then the S is. It's like in between the black and the grey S that I have.

Looks fine from more than 2 inches away... I hit it with a heat gun again after the pics and it's starting to smooth out the edges.....

Yep you have a point. All I am saying is if you do build a low ohm coil you don't need the high J setting. Like I said everyone is different and that's what makes vaping fun. If thats what you like then that's great. Oh and by the way if you wear a hat no one will notice that point. LOL just joking around.
missed that- you need higher J with heavier gauge too.... think in terms of energy- without the math: more wire, spread out over greater area, with more mass needs more power to get to get the wire to the same temp (with the assumption that the heat is evenly distributed)...

Are these vendors offering to replace the black painted ones out of the goodness of their heart or does the warranty cover the bad black paint on the SX Mini M Class? Anybody?
The vendor offered because it was under warranty. The vendor also told me it would be end of May when the new black ones are shipped and the it is supposed to get a upgrade or should I say "upgrate" to 75 watts. I did get offered a grey if I didn't wanna wait on the black

Yea like yours is. You had to trim the edges around the C-frame right? I found the one I was actually referring to earlier. SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL) | Page 172 | E-Cigarette Forum
yes- I trimmed it, and I like it much better that way... next time around, I'll probably go jwraps - I don't like that window on the top of the handle- the 3m stuff is supposed to conform to this kind of shape with heat. - I thought that black wood looked better than mine.
FWIW- If you're not going to cover the back of the c-frame (you won't need to worry about holes for the buttons), unless you want a custom print, you can buy a sample of the 3m vinyl on amazon (in all kinds of colors and patterns) stick it on, heat it up, and just trim it yourself...

Yep I noticed that right off when I wrapped an .072 with 26awg. More power needed for that even though it was low resistance took about 23-25J to hit temp.

Mine is not 2 weeks old and has many bad places in the paint. I've never heard of a Company that would warranty the finish (or had to), but if Yihi is doing this, then I will get the purchase info from my friend who gave me this one and get a replacement from his vendor. I just didn't want to bother him unless it was in fact a warranted fault. Thanks for the reply. I will wait on the new black one as well.

Yea it's sounds like Yihi is actually handling the issue they had with the black paint right.. They halted the shipments of all the units they had going out, and have made swaps for people that had faulty ones..

IMO that is great PR work by itself.. Most companies these days wouldn't do this as we all know.

It's good to see they want to make sure the customer is truly getting what they expect when they purchase a high end device like theirs.. Which is why I am patiently waiting for the black, plus I wanna see what it's like (heard diff rumors about glossy/matte/ruff) before I grab it..

But it's getting Soooooo hard not to hit checkout on the grey some days lol

I understand that. First I've heard of a 75w upgrade this month though.

I'm sure it will be a firmware upgrade for already shjpped/sold units, and the new ones will just come from the factory with the firmware upgrade from the get go

Heres something I was wondering. I bought a box of the NI200 heads for the STM but I didn't like them in my rDNA40 but I've been hearing they work well on the SX. Since they are .15 what temp and J settings are you using with them. Thought I might give one a try just to see.

I bought some of the Kanger coils last week and put one on my STM. Didn't work at all.

I gave the STM a much needed cleaning and tried another one tonight. It is working very well. Amazing flavor. Better than the builds I've done so far --- which is saying a lot, because I thought I'd achieved the best flavor possible with nickel and a Lemo 2

I noticed the same thing didn't care for the 1st one i used but after a good soak and run thru the ultrasonic it was really good. Not sure why a cleaing made such a difference but it did. I will say so far the smok gimlet is my favorite ni200 premade coil tank so far, I have ST,gimlet, heatvape ecotank and smok giant all are good but overall the gimlet has superior flavor and cloud production its only con it size 3ml but they are coming out with a bigger one soon, also ordered the smok tct today should have it Thursday will update after I've run it thru the paces.
