Nice. Mine should be here tomorrow.

In the meantime obligatory ni200 75J test because science.

Does it do the same thing if you set it in Celsius or Farenheit. Just curious I know it sounds stupid but for me I like the nickel at 390F which I believe is 199C. What happens when you set the Ti mode in Celsius instead of F. I think the VooDoo sounds like a better idea.

Hmmm, interesting thought. Shouldn't but who the heck knows with all else going on with the Coding. Do it and let us know your Results.

It's forbidden to film the dance sorry. However it's pretty straight forward. You have to remove all your clothes and run in circles around the atty while you're holding your arms up and make growling sounds.

The magic has a more powerful effect if you do it in a room with Windows and shades wide open.

100% success rate :)

Regards
Tony

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

No sweat T. I live in The Sticks and regularly do that kinda Stuff anyways. Wouldn't really call it dancing as much as I liken it to an obscene Spasming. Actually prefer to amble out on the back deck then unleash the "Magic". Scares the Crap out of the Deer so stop it before Hunting Season.
Wife,,,, she doesn't quite understand or appreciate the Wizardry.
Have to take the EK out for some Morning Country Yoga and see if it works. Thanks.
I'm so optimistic of your Ritual wuggestions, gonna go fire the Voodoo Man and take back my Goats right now. He can keep the Tito Puente CDs. The little Rat-Dog has done gnawed up all the Chicken Bones anyways. So pretty sure his Magic is gone but the Rat-Dog does now float around with glowing buggy Eyes at times and speaks in Tongues when hungry.

Congrats - that was a fairly nice package, but I already have an ErlK and am waiting for v2 whenever it comes out for the next one. The main issue with the ErlK is the wicking. If you watch Twisted 420's or Qorax's videos on how to wick the ErlK, you can get it right or pretty close the first time you build a coil for it.

Agreed Sir. Watched one a while back when first got the EK Fever. Will take in those 2 you suggested this Weekend. It should arrive here Monday.
Twisted 420 is a Trip. Can't watch at Work or with Wife and Kid around as he does get a might "excited" and colorful with the Verbiage. Haven't seen a Qorax Vid Tutorial yet so might give it a look see today if the .......s at work will stay off me and let me have some Me Time.
Thanks for the Intel.

Water test on mine at 20j Eco mode 26g Unkamen Ti 7/8wrap on about a 3mm mandrel was locking at .320Ω was pretty stable between 181°F - 185°F on the display.
With Ni200 20j Eco mode 28g Temco 6/7 wrap on a little over 3mm mandrel locking in at .106Ω pretty stable on the display at 134°F - 138°F.

Both tests were done on the same atomizer with spaced coil. EHPro Atomic clone. Not really sure what to think about this but there's what appears to be about a 50°F differential on my device between modes when doing the water test. Why the temps are so low IDK.

Thanks for doing the test!

Hmm...

My Ni200 guess: the resistance change is not linear, but the mod uses a linear approximation. It would use a coefficient that works fine for typical vaping temps for the whole range from 200°F-600°F. E.g. using 0.0054 would match resistance change at 420°F and would be good enough for +/- 50°F. However, when heating a coil to 212°F, the correct tc would be 0.0045. As a result, the temperature change "measured" by the SX mini will be 20% too low. This problem does not exist for Ti, because the resistance change with temperature is (almost) linear. Long story short: if the SX mini may approximate the resistance change by a straight line; this will work good enough in a certain temp range but errors will be significant at very low (and very high) temps.

Anyway, your temperature for Ti is low. Reason could be
- your wire has a lower tc than mine (zivipf)
- unwanted resistance, i.e. contact problems
- otherwise: no idea

zivipf has a tcr of 0.0035 I believe (@TheBloke calculated it based on dozens of real time temperature readings)... that's REALLY low for grade 1 Ti... lower than that and you're entering the realm of Theoretically pure Ti crystal samples for scientific studies... I don't think that's feasible for "commercial" pure Titanium. Something else might be happening.

My two cents

Tony

Day-Umm Dan! 75 J's! Holy Flame-Thrower Vape Man :?:
It was a bit much, imo. The coils are rated for 80W, just wanted to test that theory.

On a side note, USPS failed to delivery my yihi silicone today, but they did manage to delivery my Unkamen Ti a day early, so that is fun. Now I have to figure out to use this stuff.

Yes it was low for Ti and even lower for Ni200, I think that in part at least explains why I get a warm vape from Ni200 when the display shows 415 - 440 but need it to be over 500 for Ti to get a similar experience. Almost tempted to roll back to ver 2.2 and do the water test again to see where Ni200 comes in at on temp with that version.

Have you done the water test on your's with Ni200 to see if there's a difference in the temp between the two wire types?

Okay, sorry for the disruption but WOW

Built my first Nickel Coil(s)
Dual Coil Orchid Tank
Meter read .08ohm
SX Locked at .071:confused:

First attempt, 400F/22J
Vape is a bit warmer than expected - will lower temp a bit.
Nice Flavor, Great Vapor
NO DRY Hits :thumb:

Shorty muffler tip gets to warm:-x will have to find an insulator on one of my RDA's

Over all :D

I received my Ti 26ga, but after reading all the concern I figure it might be best to save it until we have a v2 of the Beta.
What are the specs for the coils you built.....ID, wraps & gauge? So far I have only done single setup ni200.

Just finished Qorax's Vid on Wicking the EK. AWESOME! Reminds me a lot of the wicking for the Fogger v4.1
Shouldn't have watched it today. Can't wait now till Monday to Ti build this Sucker and strap 'er on the SX and take it for a spin.
Betcha will perform better than the RDA or the L2 did. We shall see.

Thanks much for the Tip to the Vid and to Qorax as well.

Well I did the same Thunder Dan ordered 6 of those HG2's I see they were a little cheaper at Ginger 14.95 for 2 but I always have gotten good service from RTD and they come with a case for each pair. Plus free shipping First Class but usually gets there in the same amount of time.
