I did some digging on this thread and found the person that did the water test and came up with .00121 and it seems to work well. I'm glad you said that because I've had this UD 316L wire for a while but I always just use titanium and kanthal. Thank you for posting that on the same day I finally messed around with SS again lol.

So how does it perform with .00121?

It performs better than I thought. I just put a little crappy SS 316l fused Clapton and the flavor seems a little crisper then titanium. It's definitely worth a try as of now I have it at 440 and 46 joules and I can run the cotton bone dry.

Allow me to repeat myself:

SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

These TCR's are not ABSOLUTES. If you do not get the vape you want, or expect, you may have some wiggle room: +/- (a few increments). 316L and 317 are cases where a little to the plus side won't hurt anything and may give some improvement. Even Nifethal 52 permits the possibility for adjustment. I use two (2) different values for NiFe. 48/52: the given TCR (strictly linear) and the TFR (a plotted curve). The M Class does not allow for a curve but the ML opens that possibility.

I only own the M-Class and SX Flask (and assorted dna 200's) so the ML software is of no use to me. Yet those willing to experiment might check out the TFR's provided at Steam Engine...as a starting point.

Is anyone using SS 316L on their M class? If so what resistance are building to? Which TCR are you using ? Temp and joules?

I just used UD 316L last night on the m class. It was a fused Clapton with a 28g core and 36g kanthal wrap. It was ohming out to .41 and I set the tcr to .00121 and got really good results. As soon as I get my 26g SS 316L and 304 I will put in a alien Clapton to see how it compares to my common titanium builds. I also set it at 44 joules at 440f.

I tried the .00092 tcr for SS 316L and it was very inconsistent to say the least. I had to turn the temp up to 500f to get what felt like a 400f vape. Also I had to turn the joules up a lot or else it was really weak but then the chip did its pwm and you could really feel it, if you turned it down a decent amount the chip calmed down with the pwm but it was tiny whispy clouds. I dug around in this thread and someone did the water boil test and the water boiled at 212 with a tcr of .00121 so that would leave to that being s better fitting tcr. Someone that knows more may pop up but I'm pretty sure I got things close to correct. All in all I'm enjoying the vape I just need 26g so I can do some of my normal builds to really test it out. And yes that was me that brought up the vapedojo amazing deal for the m class and ml class. I can't believe how many people jumped on that deal. I'm not that suprised because that is a insane deal to say the least I just thought people would have known already. For everyone that doesn't know on vapedojo the sale is 89$ for m class and 99$ for ml class you just have to use coupon code (sx mini) and the price gets cut in half. I know a couple hours ago they still had some in stock. I got mine this morning and I'm very happy especially because they shipped very quickly. Another plus that a ECF member found out is it will still be covered under yihi' warranty which is another plus.

When I tried 0092 the Vape was almost non existent. I just tried 0121 TCR and I'm getting a decent vape now. 26 gauge 316L .43 ohms 475 degrees 25 joules.
So now that's 2x I have to say Thank you. My ML is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. [emoji106]

Glad your getting a better vape now. It was definitely a night and day difference between the two tcr's. I hope you enjoy your ml class tomorrow. I love the paint and feel, also the battery life seems to be much better and I'm using it harder then the m class. Glad I could help you out and I'm glad there are people figuring these things out so people can spread the word.

Hey, all.

I realize this is the M-class thread, but you guys are the experts on this chip... I just ordered a Renegade X "DIY" kit from Varitube that bundles the SX350J V2 chip.

Which firmware bundle do I need, from Yihi's site, to update it to the latest version (if it's not the latest already)?

I'm assuming I can use the "SX350J_YH_Logo_English_75W_20151012-0831_V2.32-1444726860.rar" file they provide?

That is, there's nothing wonky about this chip version that would prevent it from updating? I heard something about a "modders" version of the board that now has me concerned that it's not as universal as I thought.

This will be my first SX350J-based mod and I'm pretty excited. Especially, its TCR feature. I'm looking forward to seeing how it compares to my Joyetech and DNA200 mods.

Also, are there any differences between this board and the one included in the new ML class SX Mini?

No the 2.32 is for the v1 board not v2 mate

Just flicked through the available downloads and could not see an upgrade for the v2 modders chip yet

Ahhh. Got it. Thanks again, QM.

I'm assuming this "V2 J" version Varitube is including will indeed have the TCR feature without an update, then. So annoying how they refer to it in a vague way on the website.

Edit: Varitube replied (on the weekend, too) and confirmed that it does have the TCR feature. So, I'm guessing it's the lastest of the same chip in the ML class. I guess I know more soon. I'm not sure how the "modders" version would be different.

Usually the updates for their boards can be found at their Yihiecigar.com site not the SXmini site, but I don't see any for the SX350j-V2 currently unless I'm overlooking it. I believe it is included in the SXML download
http://www.yihisxmini.com/download/SXmini_ML_Class_V2203_20160114_SX_Pure-English.zip

You will find it after installation as YiHiSX350J_V2_V2203-20160121-English.SXI in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\YiHiEcigar\SXi-Q" folder for a default installation.

Thanks for this, Jim.

Wow, so there is a binary for V2 chips.

Version "2203" of V2 chips, I'm assuming -- that's what confused me into thinking v2.32 was the V2 chip.

That's really weird, no other .sxi in my package than the one for the ML. And nothing in the SXI-Q directory either.
