LoL...

Did you guys know that 1 MPH is equal to 0.00028 miles PER SECOND!!?!?!?!?

How could we possibly measure that without knowing how long we're going to be moving?

This isn't magic guys...

What are we REALLY changing when we tell the device to output WATTS? What does the board physically DO? It alters the voltage. That's it, that's the only thing it is capable of doing. So, using a fixed resistance coil of say, 1 Ohm, How much voltage do I need to make 20 Watts? 4.4V... So when we put in 20W, what the device is REALLY doing is calculating just how much voltage it needs to apply to achieve 20W, and then it applies that set voltage AND NEVER DEVIATES because the load doesn't change. All the variables are fixed, locked in.

Does the end capability of the device change in TC mode? Nope, it's only able to apply voltage, and that's it. The calculation for Watts depends on all other variables being fixed... For TC, my load is going to dynamically change as the temperature of the coil changes. Oh my god, what do I do? If I apply a fixed voltage, that's not gonna work. I'm going to need to adjust my voltage to compensate for the increase in resistance. How much is the resistance going to change? And how long does it take for that change to take place?

If only there was a way to express how much power it would take over the time span it takes to change that resistance...

OH WAIT!

Yeah... It's seriously not rocket science guys... It's Watts * Time... And guess what, Evolv measures Joules too, they just call it the wrong thing...

Wait, you don't have one and you're saying how it works?
Do I really need to have to hold one in my hands to opinion about J vs W? I never expressed any opinion towards the mod's performance or otherwise on any matter that requires practical experience with it.

That's like saying I can't talk about fahrenheit because my owen displays Celsius?

No but it would be nice for people interested in buying one; or, those of us with one to know when they are speaking to someone if that person is speaking from experience or what they perceive from the same forum.

It's not just people who own them who need to be considered its also people looking to purchase a product. We can all be wrong and outsiders need to be able to tell who is speaking from first hand and second hand information

Especially when the person is speaking so assuredly as if what they are saying is factual. None of us know for certain. Not yet anyway. I try to be careful what and how I say things since people lurk in here before spending 200$ on a mod.

Just got my late sunday night order on the SX Mini M from Gingervapes this morning. Their free shipping was priority and they thew in 3 ML samples of their juice. Pretty happy with my decision to purchase there.

Doing a quick 28g nickel build before heading off to work. 7 wraps around my slightly bigger then the little blue screw driver on a Lemo Drop came out to .22ohm. Not sure if that's good or not but my initial impressions vaping it 24J/420 are pretty good.

I'll have to wait until i get off work to get any real play time though.

I'll say for anyone considering buying one, and have the money, just do it. This thing has taken everything I've thrown at it, and comes back for more. Not a single issue so far. It just plain works. Just like my S-Class does.

I'll be interested in Phil's review, because I can't find a single fault with mine. Unless he resorts to joule bashing, but I think he's above that. At least I hope so. As I've said in my prior posts, Js and Ws don't concern me, I adjust to taste and enjoy the vape.

PBusardo's sub-ohm tank comparison / review just came out today.. He stated that the M Class review would be next. Won't be long now...

I don't own a sx so you may ignore my comment

7 wraps of 28g should be under 0.10 or even lower depending on id so I would double check your build, connections and maybe try to reset the base resistance. 0.21 sounds high.

On my other technology mod, 10 wraps of 28g ni on a 2.4mm mandrel give around 0.11.

Saw that just now. Another advantage to the SX Mini - even if you're not into temperature control yet, and just want to rock with one of the many subohm tanks out there, 40W is just not sufficient power to push those 0.2 / 0.3 coils to optimal performance. Even 60W is low for some of them, but it's a big help to have those 20 extra watts in any case.

Hoping Yihi is working on a TC upgrade for the SX350 100W chip!

Both SXmini's will go to 85 watts in bypass if I recall correctly.

So i just noticed something on my SX Mini. I have my temp set to 400F 25J .20ohm. While taking a vape, I notice that my device will hit temp set temp fairly quickly and sometimes spike up to 415F+ for a millisecond and go back down and stay hovering 400F. Anyone else getting this?

I don't know if it burnt my wick because I didn't taste anything wrong with the vape, but when I checked my build I noticed my cotton was turning black under the coil even though it is saturated the whole time. I don't know if it is the juice gunking but it doesn't seem that way. Vape still tastes great lol.
