Running the extension tube with 2 VCT5's, the amount of battery sag on mine is trivial in TP mode while firing.. Even when showing around 50% life left..

I love my Sony vtc5's, but they are getting old. Great battery but in short supply except for clones stating they are vtc5's.

Looks like 3-28-2015 was not a good day for M Class? Lot of buzzing units so far that day.

I don't think it was a good or a bad day as I believe it is just the way the device and the electronics within works. I have to have it an inch or less to my ear to even hear anything.

So I got a response from Vspot Vapes about the buzzing noise in Joules mode. They said their test unit makes the same exact noise and that they reached out to Yihi and are waiting for a response. They also told me that if I do not feel safe with the device they will do a swap for me. Great customer support. I will be waiting for them or myself to hear an official response from YiHi until I make any moves toward a swap.

What would you guys say is the best color to get Black or Grey. I was going to get Black since my S is grey but wondered if one wears faster then the other. Wish they would come out with a skin like the VS.

I can tell you right now that my black is chipping some.. I've been careful, with no ring rubbing, dropping, etc.. One con for me at least, but fixable with a wrap.. ;)

EDIT: The same thing has been reported by others on the SXmini Brotherhood FB group..

Does anyone know what the latest version for the 350J is? My SX Mini is running on Version 1.4.... Do i need an update?

v1.4 is the latest and there is only firmware available on Yihi for SX S class and I believe that is v1.3. If you try to use that you may have a $200 brick on your hands.

I have the grey/silver and I do have some very slight ring finger marks in the center areas. Just fading every so slightly there due to the ring marks and hardly noticeable. I do like the grey coloring but black is also very nice.

Well they are supposed to have both in on Monday maybe I will go with the Grey. My S is holding up pretty good a little wear towards the top next to the silver. Other wise is doing pretty well. thanks again. I'm going with the Grey. A skin like the VS would be great. I love mine. I do hold mine so that I use the trigger finger to fire it. I notice a little of the silver wearing also.

I think the chipping may be partly due to YiHi's change from SS in the S Class to Zinc Alloy in the M... Possibly making the finish not adhere as well... Just a guess..

Yihi could definitely add a % to the battery meter while it charges... You don't even have a way to know when it's fully charged.... Very weak to let something like this go through IMO

The rare times I use the USB charger, I just wait until I see it get to 4.20v... (in power mode.. I see what you mean about TP mode though)..

EDIT: With only a 3 month warranty on the USB port (and taking it's upgrade ability into consideration), compared to the 1 year warranty on the rest, it would be a good idea to use it sparingly for charging IMO..
