Just my opinion based on limited experience and reports of inaccurate , inflated, specs and re-wraps:

I stay clear of Efest, period full-stop.

I've heard that Efest have problems. I've also heard they are fine. Every since I started using replaceable battery mods when I got my first mech, it's been the purple Efest batteries. I've never has trouble out of them, however I am borderline OCD when it comes to electrical safety due to my training in the Army as an electrician (and the fact that a battery going thermal in my face is not on my bucket list either). I would solicit the best, most reliable and safest 18650 battery to use in my SX Mini when it arrives, but I'm not wanting to hijack this thread into a battery war lol. Thanks for the tip though!

I just got my SX about and hour ago and right out of the box I was having problems with the gravity sensor. I'm having major lag when it comes to the screen flipping right side up or sometimes it doesn't flip it all. Is anyone else having these issues?

I did also the first day. Now I understand completely that electronics don't need to be honed but I swear after a day or two it started flipping instantaneously. I have no idea if I am just handling it differently now (which is probably the case) or what is going on.

But give it a day of play time and see if it doesn't perform better before getting upset and thinking you have a lemon. There are no other people on the face of the Earth that are as OCD as vapors. That is not an insult it is just my personal opinion from almost two years of hanging out on this forum. ;)

About batteries - so...This is the first time I have used the VCT 4 - I have to say, I like the 25R much better. I got better mileage out of them compared to the VCT4 and I swear the SX preformed better? - better vapor/hits? Maybe it's just my perception and the fact I used the 25R on my mechs and had outstanding performance.

Thoughts?

btw - these are all new batteries RTD this week

I just got 25rs today and I notice no difference between them and my VTC4s when it comes to performance.

What did VapeNW have to say about your issue?

Edit: I think I misread what you were saying about VapeNW. Also I think it is more your warming up to it than the other way around.

The SX does so many things in different ways it took me a little to figure it all out.

Yeah I was doing the same thing and wondering why I couldn't get the Joules to change under the gravity function.

btw, is there any news on the busardo review. At this rate it will be in two installments...hope he didnt damage himself doing the subohm tank fiesta...and to think he only covered less than half of what is available. Crazy days...

2legs said he spoke to Busardo and he is working on this week - so I interpret that as we still don't know. If he doesn't hurry they will have a new model out and the SX-M will be old hat.

PS - Sure glad I could be the fall guy so you could feel better about yourself. :D

Yihi is showing a >25 amp battery requirement in their SX350J specs. Samsung 25Rs are 20 amp batteries. I never fudge on battery specs so I use Orbtronic SX30s and VCT4s that are rated for 30 amps.

28g hardened ni200 8 wraps 0.14ohms 440F 22J.
At times I still gets dry hits.. And when I purposely run the tank dry it continues to heat the coil, blackening the cotton til it becomes crisp. The coil also starts to glow slightly and there is no Dry Wick message..
Anyone knows why?
8 wraps with 28g at 0.14ohms, your inner diameter is approx 4 mm which is kinda huge. Did you set the resistance (pressing both up & down button) when putting in the tank?

I had not contacted them yet with my issue. If it's not better in a day or so I will

jbok,

I don't think you have a thing to worry about as soon as your warm up to it. By the way for Gravity adjustment of the TP and Joules you have to hold the SX with the display point at you and vertical. Not the easiest way to read it but that is how it works.

Keep asking when you run into what you think is a bug, quirk... whatever. Oh - and be sure to enjoy your new TC Mod.

My problem is not when I am in the main menu but the screen rotating right side up when I change hands. So far its a fine device..I like how sturdy it feels in my hand

OK, guess its just all in my head.. lol Either way - I LOVE this mini! And yea..Busardo needs to come on with that review :)

Ehh. It's no more in your head then the people that take the specs and then portray them out as if they could take the battery challenge...calling each hit out by battery type lol.

Unless you are pushing the max on both lowest build and highest wattage setting, i'm guessing the 25R are just fine.

Pbusardo posted on FB that he will be getting the SX Mini review out by end of the week :)
