They rock!!!!! I got some in last night and am once again blown away!!!!

Nic, you don't want to fully empty your cell too often. It will not last too long if you do. Something like 60% discharge will keep your cells alive longer. But for testing purposes it would be good if we find our sweet spot and then log one good cell. Then we could see if Joules really is a battery health monitor. For saftey reasons it's a practical feature if it really works so I would be interested to find out for sure.

I will start soon to just empy cells and try and see if this really works. I hope we get an API so we can start programming the screen to show what info we wish.

Good stuff

im not sure everyone would agree with that! In fact there is a whole thread on it somewhere that I started a couple of weeks ago...

I have 5 Kanger Subtank Mini with the RBA and they have been flawless for me. Then again - I see a ton of pictures of peoples builds for the Ni200 and I just go

I think the people who are running into the rattlesnake sound like Phil did are trying to run it like they did the dna40 and set the joules all the way and adjust temp to suit preference. That works pretty well on a dna40, but I think the sx350j is better suited to set a max temp and then adjust joules. I've never run into a rattlesnake sound doing it this way, even when I run my wick almost completely dry.

(note: I have no science to back this up, just my own observations and talking to other owners)
I think this is a sensible approach to using a TC device and it's how I've been using mine for the past couple of weeks. Still no dry hits, no scorched wicks and no complaints.

I have an SX Mini "S" and I used it to benchmark the VTC4s that I use in my "M". They hit 3.6 volts at around 15k joules so when I see them closing in on that number I swap them out for a fresh one.

The RBA is flawless for me also! Ni and Ti. The Kanger OCCs have caused problems for some (myslef included) but others have had good results.

that was not a typo. I ran it until it would not fire then fired a few more times lol. battery was at 3.2. I mean some say it is okay to let a regulated device catch it. I agree, 3.2 is killing the cell. other than an explosion batteries are cheap. I have vtc5's that I seriously abused. running to 2.6 in mechs for a year. they still held a charge but I did myself a favor and retired them. I think we all know these are nothing to play with. I just wanted to test the sx mini. I can reasonably get 17k. I use the kanger ni200 coils. I am disabled. I am currently running 520f,36j on them. I know that is very high but I like it hot. these are real good coils. sometimes my grandsons or great grandsons will build my tobh. obviously I would prefer that. the kanger is decent though. I know I said this but regardless of your feelings the 350j does more than the dna40. I think that is pretty much given. if you need all that to vape I don't know. I honestly think it would be better to use a discharger than try to figure out joules. I really do not think the 350j will let a battery explode however. it even says if it is overloaded. I would not rely on that of course on a regular baises

It really looks more to me like Pulse Amplitude Modulation... But who's counting? LoL

No, I think Pulse Frequency Modulation is correct since the horizontal pulses are varying and not so much the amplitude of the pulses. I think the amplitude would vary based on the Joules setting with more Joules meaning more amplitude but that should be fixed based on the setting.

Both of these new 25R's I have are coming in at about 17500j. Max I've seen was 179200j so far. Testing a year old VTC5 today. I started to the other day and then did some other testing and forgot and took the battery out. :(
My 10 month old vtc5's are coming in at around 22-23k with the vtc4's at the same age are around 18k.

The amplitude is modulated during ramp up in the various modes.

did you run it till dead? I don't know how I got that from a 25r. especially at those settings.

msloud that wrap is too cool. I have the lavender rings too. is that a full or mini sub? I really need a wrap to protect it this time. s-class is mirror finish now.

if I run it out of juice I get dry hits. I don't mean empty but too fast. how could it prevent that or are my settings too high? dna does the same.

I could put it on scope if no one has. not tonight though.
