Also don't get me wrong I love the SX but I'm wondering what it will look like in a year. My Provari's still look like new.

I seem to change out coils every tank / flavor change which I also did with kanthal. I don't know if it's my perception or the juice I'm using but it seems to me for whatever reason the ni200 is gunking up more than kanthal did. Flavor is still persistently the same but when i change them out they seem dirtier.
After owning ProVari, Hana Modz, VaporShark DNA/rDNA, Evic, multiple mech mods, and have even tried other devices, including an authentic Variant. This by far is the best of the bunch. The form factor is ingenious-- how many other mods out there would feel this "at home" in the hands of both tube mod fans and box mod fans alike?
IMHO, this device is what the ProVari P3 SHOULD have been.
This hardened nickel from the vape mesh company in the UK is miraculous. Made dual hardened nickel coils with 12 wraps. NOT SPACED. Just to try it. Held with the tweezers and lightly torched (not heavy torch - I know that nickel can degrade at high temps). Put it on. Did a dry cotton burn test at 420° and checked for burns. No burns. It's vaping phenomenally on the SX Mini. I'm a believer in temp control now especially on the SX350j and also have no desire to get rid of my Origen dripper.
I did, however, have one blip the first day I was running the coil where it started saying low ohms and then when it would fire it would hover around 100 degrees F. That's probably because I didn't do spaced. But after making some slight adjustments to the coil it seems to be working better now and has been for the past 2 days.
Also worth noting - I was getting the rattlesnake sound on all of my previous builds when temp control was setting in. I haven't noticed that any more.
I'll probably try a spaced coil again next time but I'm going to hold off on that until this one starts giving me a lot of trouble. I'm just blown away that it's working this well with a touching coil. It was awful the one time I tried this on my vaporshark. Not sure if it's the SX or the hardened nickel that is making this one work but I really don't care. If it works it works.
Oh and if you're wondering, this one reads .069. Just about perfect.

First world problems....if the "double ampersand" is the biggest complaint folks have (something that probably was overlooked as its a common operator for most programming languages.... And is something that will be easy to fix in one of the firmware upgrades), they must be doing something right!
As for paint scratches, look at any of the VaporSharks, and any of the painted ProVari (also in the same price class), and you'll see paint wear is common among all of them. Nature of the beast for a device that we have in our hands. The sleeve being off is something their QC needs to be aware of, but as mentioned, easy enough to fix....and if you buy from a B&M, something you can check before buying

may be the fluids... had a few Ni200 builds, some lasted me almost a week(light use) some a couple of days only(moderate use).. amazed at how some guys here can last so long, like 5-6 tanks for a single build..

I did hear from Varitube that the sleeve prototype that he saw for this the silicone one was kinda ugly sort of a frosted clear rubber type thing. Guess we will see soon enough. I was hoping they would come out with colors like VS Sharkskins
I was a shark junkie for a little while there, since the dna30 release. Holding something other than a silicon skin is really nice. The colors would be cool for people that want to change the look, I reckon. But mt issue with it would be how does it change the form factor.
Kind of like, the dna40, feels perfect km size without a skin;but, when you add the skin it feels just a tad to girthy.

Well I should have stated that more clear. I have on occasion kept the same flavor in a tank for 2-3 refills and not changed coils. But I need to switch flavors frequently else the flavor disappears. And the ease in which these Subtank mini's can be re-coiled IMO is a no-brainer not to.

You know I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I use a break in period like I do with Kanthal. When I put a new coil in I start it out a 370 10J not much vapor might use that for 5min then go to 380 13 J for a while then 400 15J for a while pretty good vape and finally 410 15J and vape that till it gets a little weak and go to 18J. Thats where I stay. If I chain vape I might go to 20-25J but stay at 410. That's what has worked for me and my coils are lasting 7days on one and 5 on the other so far. Oh also I might say these are my main vapes all day. And I am running one is a 6 wrap 28awg one is a 5 wrap 29awg both coming in at .083-.086
I get a day, maybe two, out of a Ni200 coil on any device, DNA40, DNA40 clone, SX Mini. Then again, I never vape less than 10ml per day, and it's always sweet custard or bakery flavors. I could clean and rewick, but it's just as fast to build a new coil and wick, and my current coil building method of choice lets me whip up two or three coils/wicks at a time to swap in when the old one starts going off. Wire is cheap, cotton is cheap, time is a non-issue.
We'll chase every little thing trying to get that perfect flavor or hit, spend tons of money on new attys and mods for the same reason, so it amazes me that some of you folks balk at using a fresh build as often as possible. To me, it's like re-using coffee grounds and filters and then wondering why your coffee ain't all that great now.

I would quit using it if it tasted funky or anything. It doesn't. I use a sweet juice but I DIY and the flavors I use only have to be used at 2% so mostly PG VG.
I dry-burn after 10 tanks or so, but my coils last for months! (gunky Boba's Bounty at 30ish watts, 2x twisted 30awg) I see no reason to waste any time re-coiling unless the coil fails...and how often does that happen?
Yes, just the fact that the menu shows && should be enough for you to skip this mod.
