Okay just rebuilt now at a 0.12 and still burnt tastes at 30 Joules 410 degrees  Put it on my Shark again to compare and its butter so now what?
the resistance isnt the problem. 0.3 is in spec regardless of what p[eople say. I have been ahgppily using it at 0.23 for a few weeks (and 0.13 and 0.08 - all afre just fine). the issue lies elsewhere..

Well I am amazed still with this device. I have 12 days on one coil and I know it needs to be rebuilt but have been so busy I couldn't will today. Did have to turn it up to 430 23J but still tastes really good. Got 2 more STM's so I can have more flavors on hand to vape with the nickel. My sweet spot is definately 7 wraps 28awg 3mm comes out almost every time at .088. Normally vape at 410 18J standard mode except in the morning use soft. What a great product.

How does your battery life compare in power mode vs joules mode? Easy to tell using the joules meter. Im suspecting that in joules mode you may have the setting too high for your preferred temp. That will cause the devices "heartbeat" to be more rapid and eat more battery. You are better off using as low joules as possible to maintain your desired temp and using the powerful or powerful+ modes to reach the temp quicker as an alternative. Should give you much longer battery life.

Also the Samsungs are great batteries and yours are new (so you shouldnt have this yet) but.... The nature of the INR technology is that you will LOSE 1% of the battery's ratings approx every 6 days of charging. ie, after 8 months of every day charging instead of 2500mAh/20A continuous you will have 1500mAh/12A.

25R's have a great pulse of up to 100A, which makes them a great battery for a Mech Mod or Bypass mode, but why i prefer the IMR tech of the LG HE4's for a regulated mod.

Anyway..... lots of us don't even flinch at getting the newest and latest mod. $200 for this one, but yet when it comes to batteries, some try and milk them for up to two years. Prices have come down drastically for them and being less expensive then a venti late @ Starbucks. For safety and performance i'd recommend replacing every 6 months.
Dannyben, I agree with your assessment of how to set your Joules setting. It is easy to just use the SXM like a traditional wattage mod and just keep raising the Joules until your vape gets to the warmth that you enjoy. But what you may not realize is that it is wasting power just like you stated because your temperature setting may be too low and your Joules setting just too high. You will cause the SXM to be rapidly trying to compensate like you stated wasting battery life and causing erratic temperature corrections to try and compensate. Running in that fashion will provide a much than favorable experience to put it mildly.

I get somewhere from 18-22.5k Joules on my batteries. Yes, I do find this Joules counter to be a great feature. Some of my batteries are older and some of them are newer but all my Samsung 25R's, Sony vtc4's, Sony vtc5's, and my LG HE2's all get me through about 75% of my day at least, and some last me all day. I usually change out a battery once I get home from work and that usually lasts me until bedtime. Sometimes at work if I find myself vaping more I will charge it via USB between breaks and then I am good to go. I like all the batteries as they all work well for me on the SXM but my HE2's are my newest and work quite well. I personally do believe the SXM does use quite a bit of battery life but nothing I would consider to be unreasonable. I am using 26ga NI200, running coils around .065-.075 ohms so I would expect to be using more power.

If anyone read my above post with my atlantis rba build then this question is for you people that know about standard/micro builds, because I only started building standard spaces wraps once tc came along.

Flavor is good on my 5 wrap .059 ohm, and vapor production decent, but I want more. If I did a micro coil, let's say 10-12 wraps, that would help flavor and vapor production increase due to the added surface area right?
My favorite so far is using 26ga with 6-7 wraps giving about .07 ohms. Great flavor, clouds, and warmth. Give it a try with a twist of 28 or 30ga Kanthal and you might not go back.

I am just vaping away Vlad and my ejuice bill is going up! Way up! :pop:

Yea mine is as well. I've been using a lot of DIY lately but I've run out of my favorite flavoring. My wife bought a 4oz bottle and some other goodies for me for my B-day but she's hidden it and won't give it to me until Friday. :( So I've been vaping some old stash that I haven't really cared for that much to get rid of it.

I must have about 25 different bottles lying around of ejuice I don't particularly like and do my best to burn it all. Sometimes I get lucky and find an old bottle that turns out to be ok again with the right adjustments. Sometimes not. lol

For the last few weeks I have been using my Lemo 2 so much I have put aside my Delta II and my Kanger SubTank Mini. Tonight I put on the Delta II where I had just put on a 6 wrap, straight 26ga spaced NI200 coil I made the other day. I did a base calibration and it came out to be exactly .065 ohms. Another great vape tonight on the SXM running at 404F, 20J, using 50/50 PG/VG Nicoticket Strawnilla using Standard Mode. Just awesome!

Tomorrow night I will try and put on my Kanger SubTank Mini which also has a new 26ga NI200 twisted with 28ga Kanthal on it. I enjoy my Kanger too. The question is whether or not I will now be able to put my Delta II aside while it is just performing so well. Life is good! :toast:

Hey Jim, what brand of NI200 are you using? I recently got some TEMCo and wrapped my first coil and got a strange result. I wrapped a 7/6 wrap - 26awg - 3mm ID on my Sub Tank Mini RBA I thought I waited long enough (1hour) and did a set resistance of 0.077 and was upset cause I missed the 0.065 mark. I vaped it awhile and went to bed. In the morning I did another set resistance and it came out at 0.068, weird. So I was wondering what brand everyone is using.
