I did the 2.2 upgrade yesterday. It went flawlessly via Busardo's tutorial.
I had been getting 28000 joules used at 50W standard & powerful with .2 coil in my Arctic.
last night I pulsed the few last joules from 299**to hit 30000 in eco mode at 40W.
It read 3.1V on my xtar VP2
Week old R25s from RTD and I'm impressed with these Samsungs & the new update.

Looking at the enclosure on Shapeways it appears the only soldering required would be for the 510 connector and possibly battery connections. I think overall the concept is great. It's just not very pocket friendly being at 1.54" at it's narrowest point would be like pocketing a brick IMO.

1.5" is fat? With all those sxmini's you've got, I'm guessing your wallet is a least 2".

Where are they available for purchase? I've been interested in those too.

I've only seen a few pre-sales so far (6/12) guess they are brand new.

RTD Vapes although have been hearing on here the HE4 is better only 30cents diff.

Those are the HE2/HE4. These are HG2. Unless i missed them there? Do you have a link? I'd love to get them earlier.

I have some HE4 I picked up with with some more 25Rs recently...in what are they better than the HG2? Since they are both 20amp, I'm thinking only in terms of how long they will last before needing be swapped. I feel like that extra 500mah would come in handy.

There was a post recently linking to a test and the HE4's run a lot cooler than the HE2's
Will try & find the post/link

Edit: just noticed that was not a typo and your on about HG2

Was searching their site and all I saw was the HE2/HE4 so I think 2legs is accidentally comparing those.
The pulse/max on these is 30 compared to 35A of the HE's but thats fine for the mini, and I'm with you that I'd like to have that extra 500mah (20%) battery run time.
Only negative is they switched to INR (same as the Samsung) unlike the others being IMR.

Yup 1.5" is a half inch thicker than any of my other mods. Even my dual SX350 v2 is .9" thick. And with all my pictures, credit cards, insurance verification, drivers license, cc permit a bit of cash and a few receipts my wallet's .975" according to my digital calipers. So yea an additional .5" would be like a brick to me.

It looks like the design of the enclosure has a lot of unused space on either side of the pcb mounting points and then the batteries doubled up straight behind the pcb is what's causing it to be so wide / thick with a slight taper toward the display side.

And how wide and high is that v2? Bet you at least 1/2" wider than the 1.6 and 3/4" taller than the 3.1.
And what about that extra battery you need to carry around with your mini?

My mini with the silicon sleeve is 1-3/8" wide. I can live with the extra 1/8"

Is that the fixed black paint that arrived at vendors almost 1-2 weeks ago?

Don't think so.
My old one was replaced with this one about a month ago.
But I've noticed that on the new one paint was different and better (at least i thought so).

You're kind of making my point in would I rather carry something thinner but wider. "Yes" I would much rather carry something say more closely the size of a wallet or pack of cigs VS carrying something that's wide in both directions as say a 2x2 piece of lumber. The extra half inch in both directions IMO is just not pocket friendly.

You have to rename .man to .rar :D

Just done my upgrade as everyone seems happy with it this time

If not for your post would still be trying

Changed downloaded .man file to .rar & then extracted ok as 114kb

The bit that was concerning me until changed to rar & extracted was original files were 113kb

The .man file was 58kb :-x

All done now anyway :toast:

Making your point? No. You're actually changing the specs of every device to suit your faux argument. If you want to say it is 1.5 thick. then the width is .25" less then the sxmini and at least .5" less then whatever dual battery unit you want to compare it too. And it is also over 3/4" shorter then the mini.....and it holds TWO BATTERIES.

Whatever.... Thats why they make hundreds of different mods and not just the ones you like/have/got for free.
