Which indicates you used the wrong file, that you downloaded an incorrect file.

I did the same, then realized I'd grabbed the board file instead of the SX Mini M Class file. No harm. Just go back to the YiHi website, get the correct file, load it, and, complete the upgrade...

Thanks for the screenshot. Here's a possible troubleshooting step:

1) Unplug the mod from the computer. Uninstall the SX Mini software and download the latest one from the official SX Mini website
2) Install the software
3) Set SX Mini to Link Mode: On
4) Plug your SX Mini to a different USB port (if available)
5) Go to "Connection" and click on "Install Driver"
6) Click on "Start Windows 7 or Windows 8 Setting"
7) A new window should pop-up and the bottom should show "1 device found".
8) Click on "Install WCID Driver"
9) Once completed, try updating the firmware again.

Hope this helps

I have not seen anyone post a scrambled screen pic for the SX. If you can post a link, or, links I would be extremely grateful.

Check out Retird's posts. He has a file on every reported glitch, failure or bug of any yihi sx mini 350 j related mod. I'm sure he is adding this one as we speak. I remember him posting a picture of a semi-glitched screen several times a few weeks ago.

Cheers
Tony

Finally got to play with Eco mode (I know, so behind the times, but I was without my SXM for a week) and I'm impressed with how much Eco mode gets out of the battery. It's about 20% more Joules than what I was getting before in Standard mode. Also can't really notice any sacrifice in performance, other than shorter screen time (but I actually prefer that).

Zivipf wires don't usually arrive like that and.....

Sorry my friend but both my 28 and 30g from Zivipf look like that. Very dirty but apparently its only graphite (i think you told me that!??!). It does clean off with isopropyl though...

I guess I was lucky then... Mine doesn't look at all like that? :/

I guess there is some batch-tobatch variation. In any case the wire itself is great so it makes no difference as far as Im concerned! Really glad you pointed out Zivipf to me!

Really? You must have an excellent memory then because I sure can't remember every detail about a specific mod, yet one I don't own.

Unfortunately I have to use my brain the whole day so hobby related stuff needed to be remembered has to be 'filed' or it's gone forever.

I believe ECO mode also caps you at 40 joules rather than 50 joules.
