Thanks guys but, the USB is not plugged in. I forgot to mention that.

ETA picture and This is the first time it's shown the charging. I have yet to charge with USBView attachment 463675

^67",

I would suggest pulling the battery to force a cold re-boot. Then after re-installing the battery if you still get the charging symbol you should contact the vendor about getting a replacement unit.

Remember that the USB port if that is the problem only has a 3 month warranty. So I wouldn't put off dealing with the problem too long.

Keep us posted if you will I think this is the first technical glitch on the SX I have seen.

This intrigued to the point I did something I've not before done: put my SX in Wattage Mode with an atty atop. So, I needed to double check that what you show is not normal or usual. It ain't.

I know what the SHORTAGE symbol is in Joules mode, a diagonal line from the upper right to lower left of the battery indicator but not in Wattage Mode. (Don't ask how I know that. ;)) And, I am not going to speculate on the off chance some wattage mode person has seen this.

I can say it is not normal. Suggest you put a different atty on top. If the lightening symbol goes away we have a clue. If not, we re main intrigued.

[As I type I see HolmanGT's suggestion. If that does not change the battery symbol try my suggestion.]

Thanks Papa and George. It's working fine except for the charging symbol. I'll give it a try. Appreciate the suggestions.

The only other two things I can think of is it's a battery warning meaning the cell is not good (try another cell first) or a re-install of the firmware as a last resort. You could also send YiHi a quick message as it takes a day or two to get a reply. So that's three things :)

Good luck

ok. Yeah, I haven't gotten a "Short" notice. I pulled the battery (VTC4) without turning it off. Restarted it and got the same symbol. Changed RDAs and still there. I got this from a trusted member here and I don't know if they used the USB. I haven't used the USB since I got it.

Baffled...

Okay, now you are definitely at the contact YiHi point...

Thank y'all very much!

Another little clue: I've had the same coil in for a couple of weeks. It's consistently read 0.58 ohms until I posted first. The resistance is reading 0.62 now. Maybe it is a short in the making. I'll update the firmware and then contact the authorities.

Appreciate the help!

It sounds as though you either have a defective USB port, or simply some dirt in there. Try plugging in a USB cable and then removing. Or using some air, give it a good cleaning. Your units thinks the cable is plugged in.

Well if it helps, not long ago I didn't know what cerakote was either.

There are some parts in the world where you don't carry or own a gun nor do any gun related maintainance. [emoji14] [emoji14]

Wish I was in Texas so I could carry at least two guns in my waist, one backup on each ankle, two concealed under my arms and maybe another in my back. I would also hire someone to carry the ammunition :D

Tony "wako" Smith would be my name :D

Ok, enough nic for today ;)

Tony
