I also think that as much as YiHi protects their flagship mod that they probably won't offer all the "bells and whistles" on their chip sales.

I'm running a SX350J (same chip) powered Boxer - it is functionally equivalent to a Battleaxe mode SX Mini M Class. I don't have access to the test Firmware update which specified Ni200 vs Ti yet because the SXi software will not let me force the test firmware update onto my chip. Therefore I am running Ti wire on a Joules setting with a Ni200 based TCR.
I'm following this thread 'cause I run the same chip and I am eagerly anticipating access to the firmware upgrade you are currently enjoying.
All I'm saying is if you are running your coils in Ni mode you can't compare your ohm settings to someone whose trying to run in Ti mode.
Well I think this is 29awg from Vape Mesh like I say I will try it tomorrow. It just about has to be that is the only other Ti wire they have that is thinner and it is too springy to be anything else.
I was live chatting with gingervapor and she said they were expecting a firmware update for the boxer in the next week. I keep checking every day.

And the original question remains, people that are trying to use the Ti setting, need to do some testing, remember testing? Don't leave it up to the people trying to sale you the product. We should put this up against the dna 200 and the dicodes, and the best we move on to.
I think there has been Plenty of testing in the last month and I know a lot of people have given feedback. I am not sure what is taking so long to come up with a regular firmware upgrade.
All I can ask is to try a higher ohm setting. It's working for me, let's see some feedback for it....
I sure hope so. I've never done nickel 'cause of a severe, known allergy. I bet on Ti for my Evic VT and my Boxer. I jumped on the Boxer 'cause it was sx350j in a non battleaxe configuration. I did confirm that Ti support was in development for the sx350j before committing. I never even considered that Yihi might withhold firmware post development.
I thought they might considering it might cut into sales of their main moneymaker.
It's an interesting discussion, but I don't want to belabor it.
My guess is that Yihi makes more money selling chips than they do, or even could, selling Mods. Even if I'm wrong about their income distribution, I don't think they would want to turn away Yihi fanboys like myself by withholding cost free developments. A decision like that would ensure that Yihi never got another penny of my vape budget. I would learn to love another.
I will give higher ohms a try, but I have been using it on my dual coil Zephyrus with a Ti build giving about .123 ohms. I have been using it in Ti mode and rocking this bad boy at around 500F and 26J. It has been working like a charm. The only thing I find different than NI200 is the higher temperature needed to produce the same result that I would have gotten with NI200. Other than that it just works just fine for me on the SXM using Ti mode.
So you are one of the few that says it works good with dual coils in ti mode. I haven't use dual, but I would think 400-450f would be an accurate temp for a no burn coil. That same build in NI200 I would probably use around 420F so the Ti program is not as accurate. I will say that I do take build down to anemic vapor with an empty tank many times and no signs of scorching or burnt taste. Just anemia.
Here is my post about my first Zephrus build on the SXM. Actually I still have the same build on it and after several wicks and some deep cleaning the same coils are working just fine.

A test of a single coil between .06 and .65 in .05 increments is intensive, without the joule factor. When that is added in, probably a weeks worth of study, unless your willing to spend an 8 hour day on it. Add dual coils and so and so. I'm sure somebody will take the time to do it, and by then we will have moved on. I just know what I have experienced in single coils, that when I get above .4 everything is much more stable.

But I have had similar results with a single coil on my Lemo 2. This time it was a twisted Ti/Kanthal A1 producing .256 ohms.

It was very good and I would have felt that it was just right but I am finding the dual Ti coils an even better vape experience with full clouds and great flavor.
