I've been using the Crown for a couple months. I found the pre-built SS coils to work best for me if I used a TCR as if they were SS304 at .00105. The Crown does run cool for me with the pre-built coils I think in part because they're dual parallel and a ton of air flow through the roughly 4.5mm diameter coils. Even with the Ni200 coil I found myself running at 45J and up at times. I like the pre-built coils but I've quit using them in part due to the power demand and also because they suck juice like no tomorrow. Currently still using it with the RBA deck with my wire of choice and it's working great for me.
Thanks mate your the man, just changed to those settings and results are so much better. I will give the RBA a go using the stock SS coil supplied and see how it goes, really would like to go with higher Ohm's though to get better battery life so will play and see what I can fit.....thanks
Thanks, what SS steel are you using? I really want to go higher Ohm's with open coil. Re: wicking I shall be using Rayon and from what I have seen the "S" bend seems to be popular.

Yes, the 'S' wick does work, but you still have to have more cotton (or rayon) than you'd think.
As long as no cotton is trapped under the chimney and the juice windows are completely filled with cotton, I have not had a leak. I use 40/60 PG/VG
Did anyone ever release (I thought I saw prior to owning a m class) a battery cover update that makes it easier to open without having to use a quarter ? Could've sworn someone had a part they made to get rid of what is arguably the most annoying thing yihi did with this one. I like the mod but man it's a pain to change batteries. Maybe there's a trick I don't know - late to the party!

To offer a suggestion. Nife48 from zipif.de is worth the hassle to get. It's without a doubt the smoothest temp

Zipif is .00405 - and the evenness and perceived accuracy is absolutely top notch. Do yourself a favor and don't order less than 50 meters given shipping time and price - trust - or research what others have to say. It's really really great temp

Oh great. I was just coming back to ask those who had it to chime in. I literally was considering selling the m class on due to this issue so if shipping isn't stupid (a padded envelope and regular shipping is fine) I'll grab it. I hope they're not hiding fees wih $10 shopping on a two ounce part!.
$19 out the door. At a glance you'd junk it's Comparatively expensive for a product like this but honestly. It's so badly needed I'm happy to pay it. Plus I'm sure they're making small batches and they have r/d costs so it's fair enough. Ordered and looking forward. Thanks guys!
Guess I've been lucky, thumb on and thumb off with all my M's. I've read others have had similar problems as you though so good thing this guy came along with his caps. Now the ML that I have which I thought would be even easier because of the coarse threads I do have some difficulty with, so I may get another cap for it at some point.
I have no problem with my M either, just using my thumb. The ML on the other hand, maybe I just need more time with it, but its a complete PITA.
You won't regret it. Best purchase I ever made for my SX.

Mine has started to get a little easier on my ML than it was when I first got it but I'm holding out for that D-ring cap posted a few pages back.

I purchased one and it's great. I couldn't take mine out of the house until I got it, now it's not a problem.
Yea I've seen many posters that have loved them and only 1 reviewer that had some problem but the maker was trying to resolve whatever that problem was and I don't really recall that well who / what it was about. So overall I think they have a pretty good satisfaction rate.

My m classes can start the cap by hand quite easily
Have got the knack now though of using a coin to start the ml battery off
I have noticed one of my vtc5's has a quit deep scoring on the bottom from using in the M
Its getting that bad it will have to be binned soon
24ga seems to be my sweetspot with Ti. Have you used their NiFe48 with 24ga for dual coil attys?

I run dual coils exclusively now (4 Aromamzers). 26 awg is the lowest I go having initially thought 24 awg a possibility.
