has anyone compared the TC between the 350J and the 350J V2 chips?

I'm using two different Yihi chipped mods and the 350J chipped device reads slightly lower ohms and at 220 degrees celcius gives the same vape as the 350J v2 chip which reads 0.5 ohms higher at 245 degrees celcius.

Both are on Ti01 Wire profile and 30Joules

My four all read the same, any variance can be ironed out with some alcohol wipes on the mod and tanks 510's mate

I have a box mod that uses the sx350J-V2 chip and it is consistently reading 0.5ohms higher than my yihi sx mini M class and the other two ML class.

Was wondering if it might be an internal resistance issue since they're all essentially using the same chips.

Also, i ran out of alcohol swabs so I'm just using dry tissue to wipe clean the 510 which to me looks really clean already.

But thanks for the tips. I'll give it a shot to see how it goes.

Also, that particular mod with the sx350J-V2, chip doesn't seem to be performing well with the Joyetech 0.5 Ti coils.

At 35 joules, cold and wet coil with resistance locked and temp compensation set to 28 degrees celcius room temp and Ti01 material selected with 220 degrees celcius tc, i am getting a very weak vape.

It only works if i push it up to 240 or , 245 degrees celcius.

Can't seem to remedy it so changed out the ti CLR coils with a 1.65ohm kanthal build instead.

Box mods in general, depending on how they are put together, can have resistance issues no matter what chip is used. If the enclosure case is used as a ground for the 510 connector, or for the board for that matter, a poor ground can cause the issue you are seeing. Also if the enclosure is powder coated, painted, and etc. and the powder coat, paint, etc. is not cleaned out where the 510 fits that can also cause resistance issues. Poor grounding can also cause poor performance like you mentioned. A 0.5 ohm variance is not a small amount...

Very true I get different resistance readings different mods that is why I recommend using an ohm meter if you make your own.

this one I found on ebay and there are heaps of them out there.

Hey guys just got my first SX mini M class today and I love it so far. Although, I thought my experience with the IPV3li and 4 might have prepared me and not so much. The system is very intricate it seems. I was able to upgrade to the latest firmware, but there's many things I don't understand. Probably going to have some questions for you. The first is that temperature reading that comes up after you set the coil resistance. Is that the current coil temperature or the room temperature or something entirely different? Thank you all look forward to having a vape with ya.

Ah I see. I'm trying to figure out a way to remedy the issue. As it is now, Variable Wattage mode works just fine. However, TC can get a little tricky.

Does it help that the resistance difference is consistently higher?

I know for sure, a consistent error is always better than an irregular non consistent one.

I just need to figure out a way to take the mod apart.

that's your ambient setting, which you adjust to your room temp

oh ok, I must have skipped and read your post at the same time thought it was an M or ML

Resistance check from battery earth area to 510 may show a drop with a multimeter

Can do the same from back of boards positive connection to 510 positive

If zero resistance or nigh on then it must be a board issue mate

Ok, thank you. Now is there a way to change that to Farenheit? Also, for batteries, I've been using a pair of Samaung 25R's (same age) and a single LG Brown 3000 mah- just one at a time (I don't use the extender thing I'm cool with 75 watts) but, is that safe? Since 2 of those batteries are 2500 mah and the other is 3000? Ok last question for now, is it safe to charge via USB? Thank you all.

The SX Mini is a fantastic mod. I have used it exclusively for 2 days and it is built like a brick $h!thouse.

I have 15+ mods including lots of Provaris, but this is the real deal.
Yes yes yes!!! LOL I own 2 DNA's (Reulaeux and Hcigar) and this thing actually seems overall better quality.

Build wise, my Provari Radius is the only thing close IMO. The SX Makes my Snow Wolf, RX200's, iSticks and Kangers look like toys.

In the menu you can change from C to F

Samsung 25R are my personal favourites as they run a bit cooler at 20A which is my max usage

Don't have any of the brown LG's so not sure exactly what they are off the top of my head but have been using the yellow HE4 and red HE2 ok

Some have been using the usb for charging but Yihi don't advise it and you might want to safeguard that port for updates although not sure there will be any more for the M class now
