My SXMini arrived today and it is exactly like all of you on this thread have said. It is the best purchase I have made since I started vaping.
The things I like about it are as follows:
---The over all appearance
---The performance
---The button
---The screen
---The finish
---The feel in my hand
---The size
---The quality of the vape
I could go on and on about what I like about it, but you that already have one already know all it's good points.

I have my OverOne rda by MMVapors on it tonight. I have been using this rda on a mechanical mod until now and it has never performed like it is on the SXMini. I guess it is being able to dial in the wattage exactly were it needs to be and I am also using the "Powerful" mode. I have the OverOne built with dual 26ga dual coils that are .3 ohms and I am only having to run it at 38 watts to get a great taste and plenty of vapor. I have the airflow set about half way between closed and fully open.

I checked the voltage output with my inline voltage tester and there is only .02 volts difference between the SXMini screen and the inline tester. This tells me the output is spot on.

The only negative thing I can find is that some of my atomizers will not screw completely all the way down. The atomizer with the longest 510 leaves about one half of a MM gap. It would be nice if Yihi provided just a little bit more travel in the positive pin. At least the top cap will not get damaged from the base of atomizers rubbing on it.

I have a SX350 board (60 watt) that I am installing in a Hammond 1590B box with dual parallel 18650 batteries. I have been lazy on getting this box mod finished, but I think the SXMini will motivate me to get it finished.

I have a rdna30 VaporShark and I will have to say for me the SXMini is a much better product.

I knew you would you love it  Congrats and Happy New Year hun :)

Glad you love it as much as we do!

I just ordered my Youde Goblin RTA (which I didnt even know was released already, just heard about it last night) which will be going STRAIGHT on my Mini.
Finally a RTA that has more airflow than the Atlantis full bore...gonna be a nasty little thing.

Goblin? Wat dis thing Goblin?
Thanks
I am really thinking about getting the Goblin also. Last night was the first time I heard about it. I have seven or eight Kayfun lites and have just about quit using them since I have moved to drippers. They just do not have enough air flow for me now.
This Goblin seems to correct the lack of airflow and would be so much better to use outside of the house than a dripper. The size of the Goblin would look quite nice on the SXMini for sure.

Ok so now I need a Youde Goblin :glare: .. I guess better get to googling and find out what this is all about, like I NEED another atty

Buy all the things, Nikki. ALL the things.

Ive been experimenting with all my juices on the soft and powerful settings in various RDAs and RTAs...crazy how it can change flavor notes so much. Instead of getting just caramel butterscotch vanilla custard I get smooth vanilla custard at first turning into a trail of caramel, its like separating the flavor profiles in the inhale, it's great.

I've experienced the same with many of my juices, one of my tobacco blends in particular. On anything else, at any static wattage, my RY4 just tastes like vanilla caramel with some tobacco mixed in. I can accentuate the tobacco by simply cranking out more wattage, but then I lose some of the sweetness. On the mini vaped with a KFL+ at 26 watts soft, I get the sweet vanilla/caramel on the front with the earthier tobacco notes sneaking in at the end of the draw, just as the vape starts getting toasty.

Vaping this particular recipe on anything else other than the mini is simply an inferior experience for me now. Dang it.

Its BRAND new. I didnt even think it was out until someone linked it at Triangle Vape in my thread about it.
Goblin - Triangle Vape LLC

Also check out the SilverPlay its fairly similar, also brand new, about the same price after the $10 off code
Project Sub-Ohm SilverPlay RTA Atomizer

Yup, I went straight to google after I left the thread, then I hunted them down on Alibaba and sent them a message :D I am not a cloud chaser but its a atty is new, promising, and I need to know more about it

I also watched a youtube review for it, I have always liked Youde, they make quality products of which I have a few. They also have a coil jig that I am eyeballing too. :)

Oh jeez .. you don't want to know the shameful amounts of vape gear that are a constant every week .. My house is starting to look like one of those hoarders on Oprah

Don't tempt me retrox darling .. I fight back, and I play dirty too. You'll be broke right along with me!

Thanks and Happy New Year to you also.

It is amazing how the three different power levels effect different atomizers and juices. When you play with these three power levels, different wattages and airflow all together you can sure get different taste from the juice being used. This all just gives us so much more adjustability. I am sold on this board/chip and my mechanical mods are not going to be used as much as they have been.

Well after lazily trying to find a late version model VS rdna 40 and not having much luck, I have decided to take up a decent deal on a new SXmini for 149.00
I'm sure the evolve crew is going to further their new product and refine it more for the higher wattage guys sooner or later, and I'll wait for it to mature some and see where they go with it. I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new coil heater.:2cool:

just a quibble. mine is solid. as good as anything else. not perfect though. there is a small gap 1mm where the aluminum meets the stainless. on the other side there is a small chip where the aluminum meets the stainless. it is not perfect but among the best to be had. I have had expensive dna boxes with way more faults.

on that note compare this to the variant lol. sorry I ever bought that. well made, huge but specs are really odd. no way it is hitting 250w.

OH
It's an issue if you cross threaded it.

With any mod that has a spring-loaded 510, it's good practice to apply a little inward pressure (towards the 510 pin of the mod) as the 510 on your atty begins to make contact to minimize thread fatigue. As long as your atties are snugging down nicely (don't ratchet them down tightly, just snug them up) you should be fine. Just mop those little shavings out with a Q-Tip and vape on!

I have a Magma clone (Infinite) that I can't get to fit perfectly flush on the mini because of the really long 510 on it (even the original has this, and some people have even cut their Magma's 510 down). So make sure you don't try to force it on! Mine sits up off the top cap a couple of mm.

No, that is not normal  Did you inspect the 510 prior to installing the Magma? Meaning were the shaving in the 510 connection before you installed the atty?

Upon inspection, I think I have discovered the problem. The 510 adjustment screw on the Magma has really sharp edges, and I'm pretty sure it's made of stainless steel. I think they shaved off a tiny bit of my poor Mini's (brass?) pin during insertion/removal of the atty. On that note, does anyone know the materials/method required to smooth stainless?

Just installed my wrap.... Not sure about it

First of all a, Thank You all to all in this thread, especially Retrox & Peterforpats and several others. I canceled my (Cyber-Monday) order of the rDNA40 by VS mainly due the problems with the..chip..because..I do not trusted it anymore + there was the SX-Mini..started to follow this thread and..I ordered one :)

BTW, I think with those wraps its looking even more, beautiful..but..are they easy to take off.

Ok so I started a thread where I listed a bunch of higher end (mostly DNA 40 based) mods that I was thinking about getting. At first it was several people leaning to this or that DNA 40 based mod, then suddenly a ton of people mentioned the SX Mini. Tried to find it for sale for a couple of days and couldn't, then some nice folks sent me to a couple of online shops that had it.

So I just bit the bullet and ordered one. Now comes the two week wait until it makes it out here to me in Afghan.
