More of a general question but it's normal to have a greyish/black residue when you clean your atomizer 510 threads? Just removed the Atlantis from the SX Mini and when I wiped the threads with a cloth, there' was some residue that resembles carbon. Does not appear to be metal shavings and my threads are in great shape. I've seen this with other threads and assume this is normal.

This thing is pretty damn sweet. SquapeR and K4 ate just awesome on it, and I'm just now getting out different watts/power mode combos...which are friggin' awesome!!!
How do I check what software revision it is running? Do I need to grab the drivers/computer software and plug it in? BTW, anyone have a link to download that?
Anyways, I've only been playing with it for a few minutes but I'm loving it already, extremely happy I picked one up. It came in less than 24 hours though so I still have to wait for the Aqua2 to show. I also ordered a couple more 25Rs, and a pair of VTC4 specially for the SX (my VTC4s and 5s have been put through the ringer, and while I've picked up a handful of 25rs last month, cave have enough batteries, haha).

You can also check the FW version by holding down the fire button while inserting the battery. Be advised, though, after it boots up the up and down buttons will be disabled until the next time you pull the battery.
Weird. It's like 47MB in size. Maybe it's been updated since you last downloaded it. Once extracted, the .msi installer is 53MB.

Had to go find where I left one of my Russians, luckily this one was in stealth mode already (haven't really used them with my SqR and K4 being my main tanks of late, and going through a drip phase before that, lol).

No, no worry. Just means you got one from an early batch before firmware upgrade 1.3. You will probably want to upgrade yours as I think there is a 7.4v max on the first version with no logo.
Not sure which batch mine is, but I bought I from varitube in gray with no logo and it fires yup to 9.5V indicated. Am I missing something and need to update, or am I good to go?

Gotcha. My Grey mini that arrived today from Varitube does in fact have the logo. Also checked with my K4 to make sure it goes above 7.5v (it only hits 8.3v at 60w with current build, it was the only atty currently with a build that would go above 7.5v at 60w, just needed to see it go past four my own peace of mind, haha).

Yeah, I think it was only the first runs that didn't have the logo, if you ordered later, you got it. I kind of like it without, but looks pretty cool with it too. Either way, vapes great, quality mod.
Their customer care sucks too...

On the customer service front...figured I'd share my experience with VariTube in case others might be interested.
Ordered yesterday afternoon and had a tracking number within 30 minutes. 20 minutes later they emailed me with a new tracking number letting me know they had to reprint it...on top of things, nice.
After ordering I had a quick question, so i used their website query form. They answered me back within an hour.
I paid for express shipping and it arrived at 10AM this morning, thanks to hire quick they got it out.
Anyone interested in ordering a Mini I highly recommend VariTube. Will definitely buy from them in the future.
