You could do that if you want, but trust me, you don't need to. There's so many good videos on YouTube of how to build a kayfun. It's not hard at all. If I can do it, so can you lol. The deck on your Lemo is just a beefy kayfun. One of the easiest things to build on. YOU CAN DOOIIITTT!

Thanks for the info & the vote of confidence - I will try to get a chance to find a couple videos to check out tonight. I still think I will pick up a Subtank & dripper for it though. It seems a shame to finally have such a nice device & not get at least a few accessories for it - maybe this is how the obsession first starts! :p

Here's my favorite Lemo build, and it's so good my buddy here at work started using it, too, after experimenting with several different builds. 26awg, 1/8" drill bit, 12 wraps, mounted through the holes (not under the screws), and I have it about 2-3mm above the deck. Comes out to about 1.3 ohms or so. I'm running it at 22.5 watts. Use lots of cotton.

Thanks for the details :)

At 35w I was using the second largest AF. Popped it to the largest AF setting for 40w. It didn't get warm but I didn't chain vape it for an extended period of time...yet...

I cleaned it and everything then just juiced it up 20 minutes before the post, so I haven't had much time with it yet...but the time I've had with it has been nothing but great.
do you folks find the atlantis better than the subtank? i ask because i have both and since getting the subtank i haven't been vaping the atlantis much at all. forgetting looks and size issues, i am asking about the quality of the vape. do you think the atlantis brings out your e-liquid as well or better than a subtank?. i find with the sx mini a lot of marginal vapes come back into play because it makes everything better than they were on different mods. i dusted off my old russians and they taste better than i ever remember them on my older high end mods. i know this is an sx mini thread and don't want to get too far off-track but between the atlantis and the subtank which vapes better on the sx mini and at what exact settings?.....

Dems, you didn't get a burnt taste @ 35W on the 2nd largest airflow setting? I tend to keep it at 30W/2nd largest. I really like the Atlantis, Subtank should arrive late this week. The 7ml glass/top hardware arrived today. Not as big as I thought and holds a ton of juice. Thus far I've not noticed a decrease in flavor with the larger capacity.

My sx mini came today. Best regulated mod I've ever owned, by far. With this bad boy and my REO I think I'm set for life. I've had a zna, Duke, Ranger, and a couple Provari units in my day and nothing, even the provari touches the build quality of this beast. The only downside is that I thought I was getting a black one so I ordered a black lemo drop. Well, turns out that it's gray, which is what I preferred anyways, but the black lemo looks a bit off on it. lol

Of particular interest to me concerning the features of any clone is this:

Software Upgrade/GUI operate: YES (YiHi SXi Driver & Upgrade Software)

I know that clone suppliers practice blatant copypasta, but this claim will prove to be patently false unless there's a genuine SXmini-350 board in that sucker. And considering the entire unit is selling for half the price of the board alone, I kinda doubt that's gonna be the case.

So who's gonna be the brave guinea pig for one of these?

With airflow wide open, the Subtank seems to outperform the Atlantis on the flavor and vapor production fronts. I dare not use the Atlantis over ~26w Standard, but the Subtank handles 32w Powerful without breaking a sweat. Now, this could be due to the fact that I'm using my own rebuilt head with organic cotton; but even with the stock head, I was getting similar results. Just couldn't stand the "factory" flavor, which was still lurking even after putting a whole tank full through it.

Not me for sure, sure for that price, it will be nothing great compared to the authentic mini.

I have the Atlantis and just got the Subtank, I with stock coils, I found the Atlantis did better, been vaping the Atlantis at 25 watts on powerful on the mini, but most I could vape at on the Subtank with stock coil, was 20 watts on standard mode, went above that and got dry hits, and was only using 50/50 juice, over the weekend I did rebuild the Subtank coil and now I can push it higher.

Weird, all the reviews I saw said they could push the Atlantis much higher on the watts front, the OCC coil dishing out dry/burnt hits well before the limits of the Atlantis. Of course, if you are using the RBA and not the OCC replacements from Kanger, that would be a different story.

Not sure why you feel uncomfortable pushing the Atlantis past 26w, its sweet spot seems to be around 35w.

No arguments on the flavor front, or vapor front when at equal watts. Although I haven't personally tried the subtank yet, every reviewer seems to think the flavor is slightly better, and that vapor production around mid/high 20s and below is better on the sub. Again, not taking in to account the RBA section (or personal rebuilds of replacement coils), apples to apples only

I would order one as I have a spare YiHi mini board to put in but I'm in the UK!;)

this might be the unit someone saw earlier claiming to be an sx mini for $77 or so- since gone up to $99. i never thought it could be a real sx mini and now i think i know what they are selling. i think that clears up the mystery for me. no one would sell a genuine sx mini for under$100 and now i think it will turn out to be this clone. i do wonder what board they are using but it couldn't even be a real yihi board at that price. whew! i almost bit but now i will stick with my 2 sx minis and just long for a third somewhere down the road.....

Even if this listing is legit, who wants a $40 SXmini clone? I mean .. really? What regulated clone has been this cheap? And quite frankly I simply don't believe that anyone could successfully clone the chip. All of the specs are just copy and pasted, and the photo is stolen so .. :glare:

I have more faith in Nelson's $77 authentic purchase

It's entirely possible that I'm remembering things wrong, dems86! I've picked up so many new toys the last couple of months they're all sort of running together lately. I actually rebuilt the head on the Subtank, still haven't used the KF-style deck (6ml capacity is my biggest draw for this device). Used a pretty fat wad of OC with "enhanced" tails, so I'm sure that accounts for the performance.

What I can tell you as an absolute certainty though, is that I think this Aqua II spanks every other RTA I currently have on hand. Ended up with a loose connection after my hasty build which resulted in my resistance jumping between .48 to 2.2 to everything in between all day at work today. My poor mini did the best it could, but it was so awesome to get home, take the bottom off the Aqua with a 1/2 full tank, cinch my connections down, screw it back on, and keep on vapin' at a steady .48!

I'm a HUGE fan of user-friendliness when it comes to rebuildables and this one gets a :thumb: from me in that department.
