The brits may be ahead of the yanks on this one - this video was posted WAAY back on July 1st!

‪Punching hole in 510 Cartomizer 4 Arry tank‬‏ - YouTube

this video was posted WAAY back on post #641! :p

just got to be careful with this method in that you don't deform carto too much otherwise you will end up with leaking....also punching too much metal material into the poly can disturb the airflow so if punching follow up with nail as video shows...the least amount of disturbance to carto imo is to dremel a small slot in carto wall but not all the way through, then follow up with sharp punch or nail

Chief, can you give a bit more info on using a nail/hammer? One hole sufficient or do you really need 2 (one on each side). Any tips (size of nail) or warnings (damaging the carto) that you can share?

I'm all for the easiest way possible without crapping up the carto and if I don't have to go find/drag out the Dremel and find/buy a cutting wheel, all the better.

<-- Lazy girl (which is why I love this tank)

Taken from someone else but seems to be the best way I know.

Find or buy a small piece of V bar metal. Place this in a vice or mount it to a solid structure so the carto can rest in the channel. This will hold your carto and keep it from rotating as you punch a hole with a sharp metal punch or nail and hammer.
Someone mentioned using a dremmel and grind stone to grind down the spot a bit to make it easier to punch but i have not needed to do that with a sharp nail.

Yeah, like everyone has suggested... You hammer it like your "starting" a nail in a wall, wood etc... Don't go balls to the wall lol. As far as 1 or 2 holes, its just going to come down to preference... 1 works just fine, but imo 2 just seems to makes more sense to me... Sorta an even intake and wicking, however, it could all be in my head...and thats a scary thing lol.

Yes, I know I could have asked in a different thread about this, however, I love everyone here (Except Myrkos :p) so I figured why not... Couple things actually. 1) How does the DC compare to the regs in general (TH, Flavor etc..) and 2) How is the longevity of them compared to the reg. I know my mama said "If it ain't broke don't fix it" and I absolutely LOVE my setup currently with a 1.8-2.0 reg carto but I think I would like to try em out. Big shout goes to Andel11 for sending me a few Fusions to try! I like em except for two factors the ohms (2.8-3.0) and the fact that you have to use an adaptor (which makes it look silly on the Provari...That said I know they have those stealth adaptors which I believe would remedy this problem, however on the IKEN site it says they do not work with the fusions... Can anyone disprove this?). I have also been reading on the The Resurrector from CCV... What are these about and are they tank "Friendly"?

I am bringing all this up because I want to place a bulk order on cartos (to seriously stock up) and want to obviously get a stock pile of the "right" cartos... That said, of course they will be for the Liquinator! Any and all observations/suggestions are welcome! Help a brother out before he makes his final decision please.

Thanks

Chief

chief....just buy a few cartos of each and experiment with juices you are going to use before buying bulk...the std fusions work well at higher voltages so if you are vaping at fixed voltage of 3.4ish it is not going to be too satisfying....might want to go with LR fusions

those stealth adapters are new at Iken...haven't seen them before
strange that they aren't compatible with fusions

avidvaper has the stealth adapters 510->801 that work fine on provari with fusions

As I have been vaping my 2 slot over the last 5 days... I have been keeping a close eye on the bubbles that come fom the wicking process of the tank out of each slit. As for my experence now, I only seem to see the bubbles coming from on of the slits... therefore, leading me to believe that the second slit is in fact NOT serving the purpose that has stated above... I can tell you I have refilled this same 2 slot carto 4x solid now and the carto is still going strong (Knock on wood) BUT, it could be also the fact that I am using a thinner juice then I was with my other 3 that died (according to the provari) after about 3 days of use each. Just wanted to share my findings to your question Hellen! Also want to point out that the nail holes being smaller may actually serve as the fuctions that I mentioned on my OP... Someone please chime in with there nail hole experences!

Thanks for posting that! I just remembered I have a peg clamp.

IKV Fusions and IKV 510 Gold V2 cartos are very similar in performance at the same wattage. The V2 meters around 2.5 ohm. I've used them in the past and they provide an awesome flavor, wick extremely well, and are difficult to burn. I really wasn't a carto guy before the Liquinator but that was the best carto I ever tried. I haven't used them in the Liquinator yet since I currently don't have any but I ordered some a couple of days ago and they were shipped out yesterday. Should be here by Friday. I'll let you know how they perform with the Liquinator after I take one for a spin...

Okay I cleaned out my tank and decided to try again. filled the carto like I normally would and then put it in the tank and filled it. It's working much better than the first one, no burnt taste but now it seems like the carto is flooded and I'm getting juice in my mouth almost every hit! Suggestions??

How high are you filling the tank? The liquid has to be lower in the tank compared to the tube inside the cart. Maybe that is a problem?
