It all depends on what type of steak knife you've got.

 Gee, no...don't have any of those but I do have a set we got from a restaurant where we had an anniversary dinner. We were so impressed with how well they sliced through our steaks we begged to buy 6. Of course I see those very same wood handled beauties all over now and I think maybe - just maybe - we should drink more often. Surely our cocktails had gone to our heads that evening.

Day 2 at the job with this liquinator..... I still can't make this thing leak, break or perform poorly. Brutus - you know how a busy shift can go AND today was a busy shift. I dropped it twice. Actually it was left on the tailboard of the engine while we were doing the morning check off on one of our engines. Luckily it didn't fall off during a response to a call! Placed it in my turnouts pocket putting out a car fire, forgot it on a table in back of the station laying on its side in direct sun light for 45 minutes (tones went off.) No leaks.. I finally replaced the original cartomizer (After 8 fills) with the LR cart - I think I like these LR carts better.

OK. I love this thing. As I said before I still like my maptanks! BUT, for using a tank at my work this one works perfect. I will continue using my maptanks at home. I read on a COV thread that there is a CE3 coming out! (Vapor from the Bottom, 100 % No Burn taste, 100 % Leaking free, 100 % Suitable for types and models, 100 % Soldering FREE ! 100 % PURE and CLEAN.) I'm hoping these will fit in my maps. It just doesn't end.

So, for someone that has a rigorous job as mine, and doesn't want to worry about a tank leaking while left in there pants pocket (How did your word it Brutus p- look like I ...... my pants), left on it's side on a table with out leaking. And even worry about it leaking while sitting in direct sun light on its side for +40 minutes. This may be right for you!

Enjoy everyone. I am!!!!

I agree with and vote we start a petition for that name change, Jed! I'm still vapin' away with nary a problem.

setitandforgetitnator could fly too :thumb:

....... Can't wait to try with the 801 cartos - I really like those. the 3.2 ohms kr808s are great but the 801s are even better IMHO.

the liquinator and 801's were made for each other

OK guys, I'm a die hard Boge LR 510 guy. What is better about using the 801's with this tank?

only have experience with IKV's fusions and if you do a search you will see testimonies galore....wick, taste, draw are all great......liquinator rests on the extruding vent ring at bottom of 801 cart making a perfect marriage
(note in pic there is a 510-801 adapter between swing arm and cart)

liquinator pushed up off of 801 ring lip here

vaping at 8.5 watts /4.8 volts /2.6ohms
5 volts would be ideal with the fusions if have fixed voltage pv

Does anyone know if this tank will work with the new ceramic cartomizers? It seems like its getting harder to find the regular XL cartomizers and I want to make sure I can get a steady supply of refills for the future.

yes, it will work with both CE2 standard and XL size cartos. Just cut the slits in the side as you do with the boge cartos and it works just the same. I posted this in this thread already!

WOW Jed.................... Thanks for the pics..... I will have to try this too! I am loving the boge LR 510's right now..... I ordered a provari a couple days ago..... Early fathers day purchase and my 6 month ( no analogs) anniversary purchase from my self to myself! I will have to try these when my Provari comes!

I will be posting some of my pics soon. We all need to share some setups and likes with these liquinators and share what cart everyone is liking. I want to make a list of compatibility and likes using the liquinator! I'm really liking mine with the boge LR 510 on my Super Mini GLV 3.7 volt.

Well I got my Liquinator in today. filled it and loaded it onto the GLV and gave it a shot. Well to say I was disappointed and frustrated...well that's what it is..(Wait it gets better). Dry vapes even when full. If I added juice to the top of the carto I could get a decent vape. I'm thinking WTH, this should be working. As a last resort I switched out the carto with the extra I bought and Wamo! I'm vaping like a champ.

Had to be the carto. When I took a closer look at the suspect one I noticed that the filler was missing around the slits so it was not wicking juice. Not a big deal as it is just a carto and I can slit my own and have done it for a experimental one that I made out of a ce2 tank I had laying around.

If you slit your own carto's be careful not to let any of the filler get caught on the dremel or any other device you use to slit the carto's. Without that filler near the slit it will not wick properly.

Bottom line is. This thing vapes like a champ, doesn't leak and is the easiest tank to fill that I have found. I am not going to worry about the bad carto. I destroyed two myself on my homemade tank.

I will be ordering at least two more of these. They are quite awesome.

My conclusions after unpackaging a new Liquinator, disassembly, cleaning, lubrication with PG, reassembly and filling, soaking for 30 minutes—then vaping for 10 minutes: this is the best juice delivery device I've ever tried.

So far, mind you. So far.

Totally agree and couldn't have said it better. My story goes as follows...

Got mine about 2 weeks ago, and I tried the 1st carto and put some extra juice in the top like the video and it was good but then it quickly went to a constant gurgling, juice in the mouth and it was leaking out of the vent holes on the battery end, so I took out the carto, vaped it dry and tried again...but same thing. So after other people on the forums said to try a different carto I did and to quote Blue, "Wamo", it worked perfect, no flooding nor leaking and worked perfect and has been ever since. I think the issue had to be the carto. I forgot how sometimes you could just get a bad carto out of a bunch and apparently that's what happened. I had another carto just pop all of a sudden when I first tried it using the same voltage, so guess I got lucky and just got some bad cartos mixed in :(

So far so good, then I moved onto making my own slits in the cartos. Well one carto (with about 15 different slits) later I think I got it down. I still need to perfect my technique a little but hey practice makes perfect or at least I hope. The one I am using now, you can still see the sharpie marks leftover LOL but works perfect.

I tried using a Dremel rated at 13500 RPM's and while it worked it seemed like it was a struggle, so traded and got a 35,000 RPM one and WOW, it takes like 10 seconds to make both sides and cuts like butter. I had to figure out the hard way to make sure while cutting to do it either outside or in a sink, ugh silver shavings everywhere but easy to clean up.

I do have one question for those that are making their own slits.....in the video he explains to use a pic and take out the small leftover metal splinter but sometimes when I am cutting the slits, I don't have any splinters leftover? Is this normal as I have metal dental pic and go around the edges but I don't see anything. I have had some that had very very small splinters but just got a little worried that they are still in there and what would happen vaping while they are in there but then I thought, what can really happen since the vapor is from the juice and I don't think the splinters would ever get through and close enough to the coils but I have no idea.

Thanks for any input and again I have tried a lot of different tanks out there and IMHO this by far is the easiest to use and maintain for regular cartos and all this with excellent and consistent performance with no leaks, well unless you get a faulty carto.

I use a rechargeable Dremel and on a fresh charge I have less to remove, so I think it's related to a) RPM, b) cutting disk, and c) how deep you're willing to cut. If you are cutting at high RPM with a fresh cutting disc, I think you're more likely to remove the excess without picking. Unfortunately, it's also easier to cut too deeply and damage the cartomizer.

Before today, I thought it would be a problem if my cartomizer died on me with a full tank of juice. I might have to remove one of the end caps and pour the juice back into a bottle. Maybe I'd need a funnel.

I went by the Vaporescence store today and James showed me how to hot swap my cartomizers. I'll try to show you with pictures and words. For my demonstration, I'm just using an old tank with a hairline crack and no juice, but I saw this done and it definitely works-- I just didn't have a bad cartomizer, so I didn't want to get a new one wet.

Step 1: Remove your tank from your PV.

Step 2: Line up your new cartomizer top (where the polyfill is) with the threads of the old tank.
Liquinator_Before.jpg

Step 3: Push your new cartomizer up through the hole, which pushes your old cartomizer up through the tank.

Liquinator_During.jpg

Once you've pressed the new cartomizer up through the bottom hole and top hole, put your old drip tip back on your new cartomizer. At this point, you may want to prime the new cartomizer by adding a few drops through the drip tip.

You'll have a damp, old cartomizer but otherwise it's mess-free. Hope this helps someone!

EDIT: Tried a wet hot-swap last night and it worked perfectly for me. The old cartomizer was barely even damp on the outside!
