I drilled a single hole with a 1/16" bit - vapes perfect so far, but I've gotten the Dremel thing down to a science, so I'll probably just continue with that.

I assume you need some sort of vice to keep the carto from rolling while drilling? Which I dont have... Any suggestions for an alternate method?
Have you tried jonboysmc's carto tanks? How about MAPS new carto tanks. Neither have the issues you speak about. They fit tightly and don't leak.the liquinator is the best tank mod by far, but for me it's only fair at best.
I have tried many tank mods. I got my liquinator today along with 4 pre cut dual coils. It is the best tank I have tried to date, but I wish I hadn't ordered 4 carto's to go with it. Cause when these are done the liquinator will end in the drawer with all my other failed mods. Unlike the ce2 mods, it works right out of the box without fiddling, but it has many many problems. Unless your very careful not to jar it so that it slides off the carto, it will definitely leak, it leaks less than other tank mods I have tied, it works out of the box, it's easy to fill, but it slides so easily and when it does it will definitely leak (not great to use in a car,) it's ok by your desk. The worst feature is the xoxoxo!!!!! drip tip. The drip tip is the worst, I don't know what they were thinking, the o-ring is a joke and the drip tip pops off with every hit. You must replace it with another right away. I just ordered some XXXL large dual coils that hold 3.5mg I love the 2.5' dual's and am hoping this will be a solution. In the mean time if anyone want's a cheap liquinator with 3 dual coils, pm me!!!
working great, i took a bloog maxxfusion and removed the filling and tube made a atty out of it. it works great to and no adapters needed unless you uses it on a 510 devise. i used a hammer and roofing nail to punch out hole. took me all of 2 minutes.View attachment 48587View attachment 48588View attachment 48589View attachment 48590
I have to try the punched hole or drill method.
I have been having problems with the filler drying out. I have the new style single slot 510 SR cartos pre cut. I cut a second slot in one and it now has pretty much unlimited vapor. Anyone else have this issue with the single slot?
I ordered a bunch of uncut cartos. I just want to find the best method to mod these.
I don't understand - if there is no filling that how is the atty not flooded at all times?

The methods to prepare a carto to be used in a tank:
Dremel to cut slots
Drill hole method
Punch hole method
and the one I use.......cut slot(s) with band saw.....
just pick the one you like the best...they all work.....
Added this to the list....THXmight want to add the dremel/punch method
you dremel a portion of the cartomizer but not all the way through and then punch inside the slot....with this method you virtually avoid all deformity to the carto and minimize amount of material punched into the carto.
