That sounds like a VERY scientific approach...
Yep not that scientific but I love my flavors and the only reason I am trying the NiFe is I am lazy and want the flavor I get with Ti plus the ability to dry burn them and wrap a microcoil but it has to taste as good as it does with my puny 5 wrap spaced Ti coils. That is asking a lot I know because the Ti to me is the best so far.

I would suggest a 6-wrap 26awg on a 2.5 Kuro. Been vaping the same coil for at least a week with, I believe, my 4th re-wick after dry-burn.

Not going for a "record" coz as soon as my 24awg comes in I will experiment with 3mm 7 or 8-wrap. (This Zivipf package took an unnecessary 2-3 day USPS trip away from my location. Tick-tock, tick-tock...)

What I mean by scientific is you need to try different builds until you find what you like. "Lazy", I am sad to say, is another word for "excuse". Got NiFe52/48 going in five attys.

ETA: A small apology may be in order. I seem to remember you had difficulty wrapping, or, was it applying a skin to the SX Mini. If so, I understand and apologize.

Nope not me no apology necessary. So you think 6 wrap I have a coilmaster same thing sort of. Thats what I tried with the Ti and got Dry Coil several times I was thinking 8 to cover more wick. I am using 26 awg really though according to the Bloke about 26.5 Oh wait we are talking about the NiFe which is probably a real 26. Mine is sitting at the airport in Frankfurt. Seems like stuff from Germany sits in Frankfurt for a week then the USPS gets it and goes crazy with the way they address stuff and send it for a tour of America. I get all my juice flavoring from a place there so I am used to German stuff being shipped. Last order went DHL but USPS still got it when it got to US but I think the DHL shipping papers helped and got to me pretty fast one went back and forth across the US for 3 weeks before I got it. Learned not to use abbreviations like Ct. for Court they sent it to Connecticut.

Yeah, my 24 awg is still floating around in the States. Expected it on Monday, hopefully tomorrow...

And yes, absolutely, 6-wrap 26 awg (what I now prefer) will get you a great vape on the SX (400F, 22 watts here) around 0.27 ohms. But I wouldn't be afraid of more wraps or larger ID than my 2.5mm.

I am hoping the 24 gauge will liberate me from the 26. [emoji6]

:danger:Tonight was another night to take a walk on the WILD side. Many of you know that I like building with twisted wire so I decided to tightly twist up some 28ga Ti along with some of my 28ga NienFethal wire. I heat treated the NienFethal before I did the twisting and then built a 2mm 7/6 wrap on my Aromamizer using the Velocity deck. It actually turned out to be 2.5mm after it was wrapped on my Coil Master.

It weighed in at .164 ohms and I wicked it this time with my Cotton Bacon v2 instead of the usual Pima Cotton. Since I had no idea what the TCR would be with this crazy wire combination I did a water test to get a TCR of .00199, and filled her up with an 20pg/80vg Irish Mocha Coffee DIY ejuice which is amazing. I am still burning off any remaining wick water and running it at 450F at 40J on my SXM. I must say the vapor production is quite good and the flavor is perfect but slightly on the cooler side.

From my experience with this NienFethal wire which I have been vaping all week, it does get to warm up after about 2-4 tank fills and then settles down with a fairly decent vape. The wire resistance remained solid and I ran the same build all week with the same dual coils and Pima Cotton wicking. Good enough to keep me using it all week.
 I wish I really knew what this mystery wire is, but let's see how this pans out with this Ti/NienFethal combination...

Right behind you...
Ordered the evic mini which now works with SS wire. Which SS wire is the safest and best choice? Bit worried about the potential health problems, so im looking for the safest wire possible..

Any suggestions appreciated :)

I suspect that the eVic VTC is set up for 316 by default, just from what I've seen.

Update: The resistance is holding at .161 ohms but I had to push the temp to around 540F so I decided to run it at 410F and change the TCR from .00199 to .00260 which gives me a normal warm vape and more realistic temperatures around the vaping range. It is running pretty good and enjoying the build. About a 2 second ramp up time with this twisted 28ga combination. :vapor:

Hi TC Adventures:

My Zivipf NiFe48 24 awg just arrived (along with two spools of 26 awg).

Wrapped a 7-wrap 2.5mm Kuro, coming in exactly where I wanted, cold ohms of 0.18. Dry-burned using the rDNA at 12, 15, and, 18 watts, temperature OFF, wicked with KGD.

Best flavor I have ever tasted from my ADV with which I am very familiar. After starting low, set to 29 W at 450 F.

Plugged into eScribe. Ohms are in the right range of 0.34/0.34. Feels like some break in is necessary. Temperature is not reading in eScribe though it is on the Vapor Shark. Hits temp almost instantly (Stuck on Win XP until the MAC port.)

Believe this small anomaly is about getting the thicker gauge under the screws securely. Will work at that since this is on my 'test atty', the Lemo 2 on the VS 200. I expect wild success on my better built attys.

For the time being I am going to see how the coil holds up, and, ENJOY.
