P.S. I just wanted to add that all my measurements are done on the single K4 I own, which is an original bought on 1st day last December, but as such they must be taken with a grain of salt because of their statistical irrelevance: I might have a particularly bad one, who knows?
On the things to add to live in a perfect vaping world: please have manifacturers sell their > 100$ stuff with an official characterization of things such their static resistance... How difficult would that be?

You're resistance problems is not with the spring loaded 510. The squape r has a weak point in the adjustable 510 pin. From the very start, I had jumping resistance with the squape r using ni200. I stuffed a few strands of silicone wire in the threads and bam, no problems ever again.
Oh, you're right! I've read about stuffing strands into the threads somewhere else (maybe it was you), but forgot to try.
Now that you've jogged my memory: do you put the strand vertical (i.e. parallel to how the screw will get in there) in the hole and keep it there while you force-screw the central pin?

I just received my VS 60w clone. Weird thing, I need to set my nickel purity below 45 or I'll scorch the cotton. My ni200 is from Stealthvape so it should be good. Might be a connection issue? I did this test on one of my Subtank Minis (rba deck). My other Subtank mini just gives a "check atomizer" message, even though it works on my other mods. Need to check with some other atties later.

I put it in vertically (with the atomizer up right.) I put the strands in from the top and I don't go any further than the threads. Hold that there and screw in the pin. Once you get it started, you can let go and screw it in the preferred length. I let mine protrude a bit to make better contact with spring loaded pins. Once you've screwed the pin in, simply cut the excess from the top. You might have to force the screw in but this is what you want.

Update; tested with my Derringer clone. Nickel purity at 70 works, but the resistance reads .07 whereas it's .11 on my other TL mods.

Hi Soulseek
do you have the dani ex v2 or the 2380?? If the Dani, how do you find the fixed 510??
I have the Dani v2 and I find the fixed to be just fine. My marquis dripper sits flush but my gg tilemahos does not but I don't care as long as has a good connection so that the device works well.

...and now it works fine on my subtank mini with nickel purity at 70, but it reads the resistance as .08. It was .11 earlier, as it is with my other TL mods. Guess I'll just have to accept that the VS reads resistance too low.

@THE Bloke; did you have the same problem?

hate to say this butmight the build might be a bit ropey or is this the infamous STM 510 pin wobble??

I think the build is ok as it works fine on my Waidea flask and Kangxin mini. It's some type of connectivity issue. Almost seems like the pin on the VS is set too deep to properly connect with some atties.

All SXK mods thus far appear to read resistance lower than most other mods. I'm in the process of calculating how much of a problem this is, when it is a problem - in some cases it could actually be ideal, because it counteracts static resistance.

But yes you should expect to see resistance readings of 0.03 - 0.04 lower than other mods under normal conditions.

Cotton burning at 70NP is not normal, that's a connectivity issue.

I hope its not a 510 issue as I was going to use this as a TC beater with with mini's and nano's!!

SXK VS's & VF's with 60w chips

Two group buys direct from SXK? Reselling or for friends?

The VF I can vouch for, the 510 is great. But the low resistance reading appears to be generic to the chip, so they all read low. But that may not be a huge issue, I'll update on that later.

Don't know what to do with them yet
After following a few threads & deciding to buy from fasttech
Then having the rug pulled, thought would go direct & get stocks for who ever wants them
Just praying don't get clobbered by customs

Tom can you post a pic of the 510 on the SXK flask so I can see how wide the centre pin is?!?!
