I thought I'd stick this under health and safety as it really IS becoming a health and safety issue in our household.
I do remember reading a thread here somewhere on this complaint but I don't remember reading about any resolutions or tips to ease this unpleasantness.
Our children are complaining constantly about this new nasty side effect of - well, what is it? Giving up smoking or is vaping itself causing it?
We nearly killed the children in the car on the way back from a recent camping trip and in the tent itself? Well, you can ONLY imagine!
Though I must admit after years of suffering my husbands sometimes pungent, nose hair curling stink bombs it IS highly amusing to me that I can finally get my own revenge, but to be honest I can't even stand the smell of my OWN emissions at the moment.
The poor cat wont even snuggle up in bed under the covers any more - she just looks at us in disgust.
When will this STOP is my question?
Is this just a transient thing - the release of deadly toxins after having smoked cigarettes for so many years?
It's foul. Honestly it is and embarrassing when out in public!!!
What can we do? Peppermint tea? More fibre in our diets?
How long before this settles down?
Please....we reek. :(

It is just your body getting rid of all the toxins from smoking. I had the same issue for about a month after I quit smoking. For me I know it has nothing to do with vaping because this has happened to me every time I have quit in the past. Gas, face breaking out in little pimples, and flu like symptoms.Drink lots of water to speed up toxin removal.

Been vaping three months and analog free. I know what you're going though. Ewww, I can't stand to be around me some days. I keep waiting for it to get better but nada so far. And I never had a gas problem ever, thought I had cast iron insides, everything worked perfectly. But I smoked a lot and for a long time, so if this is what I have to deal with to get all that smoke junk outta me, so be it.

I just had a 'duh" moment. Did some googling and it seems that fish oil capsules can cause gas and bloating. Well what a coincidence because as soon as I stopped smoking I started taking fish oil supplements.
Guess I'll drop the fish oil and see what happens.
Doesn't explain it for my husband but it may very well be the cause of mine.

So this could go on for quite a few months to come? Yikes! We'll be blamed for global warming if this keeps up.

I've been vaping for a little over a year now, the first 6 months VG only. Definitely a nasty change in the rear. The next 6 months with PG and this problem got much worse. I don't think it's the quitting cigarettes I think it's the PG. I guess some things don't change when you take up vaping because now instead of going outside to smoke I go outside to....

 I've noticed juice from certain vendors causes more..disturbance...than others but can't figure out if it's the flavoring, the PG/VG or nicotine they use. Anybody notice the same or are we all destined to being smoke-free but gassy forever regardless the juice brand? :)

OP LOL, you have me nearly ...... in laughter! It sounds like my household over there. I don't know about gas and vaping...However I do know that my non vaping quitting past really screwed up my stomach. Bloating Gas and constipation. Is vaping causing gas? Lol I don't know but it's better than not pooping for weeks at a time. That IS no fun, let me tell ya.
The big bathroom "symptoms" I'm having....My pee really really stinks!

OMG LMFAO. Beans I nearly peeded myself too. I thought it was just me. I sit by my son and blame it on him. I think it's a comb of both, quitting and vaping. My pee is also smelly. I think it,s due to toxins were flushing out and we need to drink more water. Still guiggling as I pass my gas.

Hahaha, I've been blaming it on poor cat, but hubby's getting wise now. I don't remember smelly pee before but who knows. I do believe I am more hydrated since I started vaping. You know the vaping rules and all. Water Back ups water back ups

I just had to say that when I was looking on the main page of this forum and saw this thread titled "terrible gas!", I noticed that the last post was made by Beans. I had to laugh! Of course, I just ruined it so Beans, would you post again please? :D
