Today I decided to take the steel tank apart on my FT "OEM" Aqua....mostly because I wanted to see the serial number and what fish I had.

I find my negative post holes wont line up perpendicular to the air hole. Its tightened up, but if I back it off to align it, it loosens up. I certainly don't want it loose with a coil in it. Anyone else experience this issue with their Aqua V2? (FT OTM version).
Yeah I guess that’s the solution, to pre-bend the leads. I'm just use to inserting nice straight leads into the Orchid or the Fogger. Once I start pre-bending them I worry about hot legs. Thanks none the less!
finally my aqua v2 is working as it should.. tho, i haven't gone back to max vg. with 50/50, not dry hit, no leak. tried cutting the wick in angle thing.. try trimming it.. nothing worked. actually when i trim it in shape or form, it started to leak. i just used very thin wick. and it's seems to work great. finished first tank of teleos alpha, lot of 'em when down trying to figure out what i was doing. another tank of old english orchard reserve, and now i'm on 3rd tank. beaumont reserve. good air flow, and good flavor.
on first build, it felt like it was working fine, then suddenly it was getting dry hit. very annoying, but with thinner wick, it's having no issues.
The Aqua V2 is the best wicking tank ive ever used hands down bar none. Never gotten a dry hit on max VG even up to 55w.
too many pages to read through. How are you wicking it exactly? Thin strands in the channels or right above the channels? Maybe something else? I'm assuming cotton also?

i absolutely love my aqua v2. by far the best flavor device I own! how does the goblin compare bud?
thanks that clears things up someDifferent beast. Much much much more airflow, flavor isnt as good (but what is?), Ive mainly been switching between the two, I love them both.
The Goblin has replaced my drippers for the time being, so I use it for that purpose and then the Aqua V2 and Lemo Drop as my traditional tanks.
3/32 coil. japanese cotton -- not too little, not too much. cut to length -- all the way down to the pool. trimmed thin so there's a little gap in the channel (I believe you want some room in the channels so that suction can help pull up the liquid) and wont get caught in the threads. dont pack the cotton into the channel. fat shoulders.
dry hits = trim the wicks, usually.
I'm thinking about increasing the 4 fill hole/ wick holes on my device to keep up with this heavy VG at higher wattages
would make filling easier as well
