Maybe I'm just so addicted to my PV now I'm worried that they will spring an anti e-cig bill on us. Do you think there will be a warning before they outlaw the e-cig if they do in USA?

Well sure there will be a warning. I'm sure this site will help let you know if your state is cooking anything up. It seems that a few states are already on warning. I think they will move on it in various ways, depending on the state. They will have to pass the law first and then most of the time it doesn't go into effect for X amount of days.

After that it will be fought about for a while and then the FDA will say they need to do a one year study or more to make sure what and who is safe and to tax the heck out of us and the few people they leave in business. By then it will probably be taken over by one of the major corporation either Pharma or tobacco, possibly both.

Im actually more concerned about a tax of sorts and the prices jumping up then a ban. Maybe im just a bit of a conspiracy theorist but the more popularity the e-cig gains the more potential big brother has of making money off the sells.

Ban it and piss off a bunch of people to make Phillip Morris happy or tax the juice as tobacco product and end up with another form of revenue? its a toss up.

Of course this is my own worst case scenario type of thinking.. somone please feel free to tell me im crazy

Yes, stock up. I certainly am.

But also know that Smoking Everywhere recently sued the FDA for seizing their shipments from China and won. Of course, the case is in appeal.

I think states are more dangerous than the Feds right now. Get active and insure that YOUR state doesn't ban our goodies.

If I am not mistaken, SE only won a small battle, as the FDA won a stay, which means they can continue to seize products until the trial.

No, The case has been heard and Judge Leon ruled AGAINST the FDA:

FDA can't block importing of 'electronic cigarettes' - washingtonpost.com

Of course, there is an appeal, but we won the first one which gives us precedent and Judge Leon (according to the attorneys of ECF) took so long to rule that he most surely was insuring that his ruling won't be overturned on appeal. I feel confident that it won't.

If they ban the E-juice all they will do is create another black market.

    I support this statement
VG is sold at the grocery store here. extract nicotine can be found online, there's already lots of documented battery mods.. though I cant seem to figure out how a home made atomizer would be made =/

I will never go back to analogs and spit bottles are just gross.

It was a short-lived win. Judge Leon granted a preliminary injunction against the FDA. It was supposed to prevent the FDA from seizing SE and NJoye shipments until the full case was heard. The appeals court granted a stay of that injunction, until they hear arguments in September. So the FDA can seize shipments until the full case is heard and ruled on.

Lots and lots of information in the campaigning forums. Worth checking out IMO

Well I am not really up to the news and politics, but I am living proof that E-cigs are better then cigarettes. When I had my heart attack, I looked into the E-cig, and I took Chantix as well. While in rehab they tested my carbon dioxide level which was 14 (toxic level) it is supposed to be 0-3. Six weeks later after smoking on the E-cig, we retested my carbon dioxide level. I was zero, and I had no adverse side affects. I would love to be an advocate, because I have alot to say about it.

Ejuice expires after two years or so. If it's banned, the black market would need to produce it. It would be even less regulated, of course, even the labels and everything.

Currently, Illinois is potentially going to hold a meeting tomorrow. If you know any friends or family in Illinois, encourage them to attend.
