Did you video your rebuild, KAS? Love to see how you did it!

Well sense I have only done just this first one, I need to make sure I can do it again. If I can get it right several times, I will try to give some instructions some how. Pictures I can do very easily, maybe in a step by step thing. The hard part is getting the re wicked coil into the housing, I have an idea that might make it easier. I kept all my old dirty coils just for this purpose, I think I have around 300 of them, it would be great to get to reuse all of those, that is a lot of coils. Most of them are just gunked up, the coil it self is fine.

WOW, 300 old ones??? I guess I won't be offering you my baggie of used ones. :D

Yeah that is about 3 years worth, so I have plenty to practice with. :)

...moitwo.

Google was not really clear on what that means, but I think it might be
"Creating and exploring endless possibility's"
That kind of fit's. :)

LOL! Sorry, KAS. It was me being silly that I have a big bag too.

"Me too" (turned into "Moitwo").

Pay no attention to me. It's dangerous between my ears. ;)

That went right over my head, makes sense now. I think I like my definition better in this case. :D

Three days into my first Exocet build and couldn't ask for a better vape although I can't comment on flavor (only vape non-flavored), and my build isn't for cloud chasers. I started tootling along at about 7.9W and "felt" and listened as the new build settled in and I've worked it up to where it is now after three days.

29ga (May be hard to find. Found at FastTech) Kanthal 7.5 wraps @ 3mm
Currently 1.68ohms @ 9.6W
Non-flavored 50/50 12-18mg

After wicking, I used some of the left over cotton to "close" off one of the air flow holes in the base, beneath the box rather than use the air flow control ring. One thinking was that the cotton would also help reduce collected condensation and soak up any leaks, but I haven't noticed either. I always continue to inhale after releasing the fire button, so that helps eliminate condensation too, regardless of build or bridge.

Next time I wick, I think I'll try to leave a little longer wicking, angle cut it or something so the wick reaches a little lower in the box. I have the Exocet sitting cross corners in the box, to expose as much fluffed wicking as possible to the liquid.

I'm running a 1.8ohm Nautilus bridge in another box as well as 1.8ohm Nautilus coils in my ProVaris/Kabukis. This Exocet has noticeably denser vape as well as greater volume for the same inhale effort. Very pleased.

This is the build video I watched several times before building mine. Couple of excellent tips in it to avoid any gurgles and flooding issues anyone might have with the Exocet (slightly twist top cap, tuck wicking in at the bottom of the wicking holes). Those tips must work, as neither of those issues are in my first build.

You seem to be using the Exocet similarly to me. You'd probably enjoy a Kayfun 5 reducer popped into the hole under the coil...

There are also a few DIY techniques I've read about too. One that might be worth a try is a 24ga coil turned on 2mm and then inserted into the air flow opening beneath the coil on the Exocet. Another involves taking apart a used Atlantis coil and using the part which actually looks similar to a Kayfun reducer. There are other DIY techniques, from rolled mesh to center posts of 510 connectors with pin removed. Something someone might try before buying Kayfun reducers, to see if they might enjoy reduced airflow.

Just blocking one of the Exocet openings with cotton beneath the box, works for my inhale ... DL for a moment until I release the fire button, then MTL as I draw the remaining vape from the bridge and thus reducing any chance of condensation.

I spent most of yesterday in the 9.6W range with my Exocet build as described in my last post, but back down to 7.9W today. Nice :)

I tried the mesh, used it on a few atomisers. I have one of my Exocets running with a reducer I made from a pot rivet, actually works better for me than the widest KF5 reducer....

Trying to work out a way to reduce the air on an In'ax Carto at the moment...

Can any owners of billet box chime in on custom buttons?

I am looking to buy some from JMKtips.com but I want to know if sunk / flat or / domed is your preference both in feeling and aesthetic?

I cant freaking make up my mind between flat and sunk. Does anyone with a sunk button think its better than a flat button?

I don't have any of those buttons but I do have custom buttons/tips. Not sure I would like the sunken buttons though. I love the feel of either the flush or slightly raised button. Easy to find. I do use leather cases so the button is kinda recessed anyway.
