Found it: (~The Billet Box~ page 1559 continued...)

Here is how I build mine:

1. On a 2.5mm bit I wrap 28g kanthal (26 is to thick so don't use it). I do 11 wraps which comes out to about 1.8'ish ohms for me.

2. Remove coil from the bit after wrapped and hold with tweezers. I fire up my handheld torch and heat the coil up applying slight pressure to the coil.

3. Put the bit back through the coil and insert the coil into the Uno base. The bit will help keep the coil in position. Run the rubber insulator over one leg and insert it into the base.

4. Pull both coil legs off to the side of the base and insert the pin.

5. Snip the coil legs as close to the base as you can

6. After assembled, remove the bit and use a screwdriver or something small to adjust the coils position so that it is centered in the Uno base.

7. Cotton it up. Use a lot of cotton and make it a tight fit in the coil.

8. Snip the cotton ends at the base. Leave a little extra outside the base and fluff the ends.

9. Adjust coil again and make sure it's centered in the base.

10. juice up the coil and the ends of the cotton.

11. Screw the top portion of the Uno on.

12. Check to make sure the cotton ends are completely covering the Uno slats. If not, you willget leaking.

13. Once satisfied the cotton ends are covering the Uno slats completely, insert into BB tank and vape away!

The Uno comes with 2 small orings to adjust the draw. I find that using one oring does little to nothing but that adding both of them does tighten it up to where it's a tad / wee bit more airy than say the BVC's are.

Side note for the Siluro: It's almost exactly the same except you need to inset the coil into the tube then slide the bit back through the Siluro holes and the coil. This will hold the coil in place when inserting the insulator and base. Once that's done remove the bit and insert cotton. Again, I find you need to use a lot of cotton or it will leak..

A bonus tip if you use a boro. After inserting the Uno or the Siluro into the tank, slide the tank glass down a bit and refluff the cotton ends.

I'm not sure that it's available in the states. I got them at Atmistique.gr. Konstaninos makes them. Shipping is by DHL, and is very fast!

Ok, i thought so... only so them on atmistique.gr. Have you tried the Uno? Any comparison between the Uno and Racing with Kanger RBA Plus?

See my post on the previous page #12779.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to load up the cotton in the two wickholes. I cut the cotton at least a 1/4 inch beyond the edge of the wickhole. First I pressed down the cotton that was at the edge then I put some juice on entire wick, just enough to saturate and make it easier to work with then I folded the pieces that were hanging over back on top of the wick and even a tad inside the chamber beside the coil.

This method did the trick for me. I used a 2.5mm rod for the coil if that helps. I recall reading somewhere that any bigger and you could run into issues. I cannot vouch for that but the 2.5mm is doing its job!

Hope this helps and let us know how it turns out!

If i'm picturing this correctly you have no wick outside the wick hole/section... everything is then inside the "carto" section folded down and pressed against the hole/section?

I made a long and in-dept post a while back about the Uno build.. It's probably 100 pages back by now but I'll see if I can find it later. If I do, I'll repost it..

Please let me know if you find it! I'll look myself as well. Pumped to finally get a BB. The tiny batts and low power always turned me off. This Rev 4 seems absolutely perfect! I just hope the Uno is great. Or i'll have to buy the Racing and find a KST RBA plus to use. I cannot STAND disposable coils. They're like the K-Cups of the vaping world.

Give me my French press or Aero press cup please ;)

Mail just delivered my V4 Dober and there are surprisingly a few defects in the anodizing. The ones on the side pictured below and then another on the top edge that i couldnt capture with the lighting. They're not major by any means but can be felt in hand and are raised like additional coating.

Is this uncommon with BB's? This is the first i've owned. Gorgeous piece of work though... i've handled a bunch but i've never seen any imperfections in brand new ones. Should i email them? I can totally "live with it" but when you spend this much you expect a little more.

That is very unusual as BBV has one of the most impressive quality control I have seen. I would suggest contacting them and I am sure they would assist you.

Thanks... that's what i figured. Every BB i've handled has been absolutely flawless so I just wasnt sure if i'd only handled a certain perfect percentage of them. Shame though because i just build her before i realized and it's going to be hard to send back if i need to get her fixed/replaced lol!

The Uno is actually pretty astonishing in this with a little DNA 40! I'm a flavor guy but i love warm to hot vapor and this thing surprisingly puts out something fierce!

A quick tip for any boxer/boxettes that have worn or dinged their billet boxes and have some aluminium showing through their coloured coatings. Alcohol inks work as a hard wearing (doesn't rub off) colour touch up. They will not fill in the ding but will cover the silver quite nicely (only small spots). The inks themselves are transparent so you need to use multiple little coats (let dry) on the darker colours or use a darker base.

The adirondack inks (ranger brand) can be found at most craft stores. The range has a large array of colours and you should be able to find a matching or close to shade. If not mixing the colour from primaries is another option.

From what little I know about BB's and Our "DD" . . . Although the "BB" was actually created to take a major beating and still keep ticking (just in case you're not old enough that was a reference to Timex watches . . . ) something like that to the quality of a brand new item sent from BB is- EXTREMELY UNCOMMON . . . Even on a very few "Second Hand" (previously used) BB's that you may find on the "classies", if they do look bad someone can tell Ya' how to fix it up (cough* cough* @Krisma *cough * cough) . . . Also I know personally that "DD" will make it right if that is what "You" want - as long as Ya' let him know what is happening . . . "You" can email him, leave a message, or call at the number listed for owners on the website ( Billet Box Vapor Inc. ) . . .

OH and BTW: Just in case "You" didn't know yet - "DD" is/has been the ultimate "MENSCH" when it comes to customer service . . . Just Sayin' . . .

I scour the classies for the beaten up ones because I can rebuild them (reference to the 6million dollar man)

I am normally too late but I still try :D

I would agree that BB should be told about a new one with flawed surfaces and I echo everyone else that they will see you right.

Update for you guys. Contacted them and they said they'd replace and they already sent a shopping return. However, I'm waiting to see when the next batch of Dobers (bronze) will be ready. They're checking and will let me know ASAP. If it's going to be two or three weeks I'm not sure I can wait that long... It's been so long already. Been trying to snag one for ages and finally won the F5 war! It's so good... And the Uno is amazing. I'll have a decision to make but they for sure are awesome and

Mine arrived. Tossed the roo in it using a SOCC coil and promptly flooded the inside of the box. (Caught it in time to keep the juice away from the chip). The glass wasn't fully seated at the top of the tank.

Second attempt - Glass fully seated, decent flavor, but way too open for my tastes. In removing the "drip tip ring" (for lack of a better term) the top part of the roo spun, working its way out of the top of the coil. Flood number two.

Third attempt - This time, I tried the nautilus bridge. Took me 45 minutes to figure out how to get all the pieces together with so little room to work inside the tank. Ended up using a pair of silicone tipped pliers. Finally got it all together.

TLDR: They should include instructions with each bridge, that shows you how to properly install a coil. The learning curve can be steep, especially if you have large hands.

I am disappointed with the color of the overtow plates. They are nowhere near as light as the picture shows, and look dark blue when not in direct light.

They should include instructions with each bridge,

There are Video Instructions for some of them - that Ya' should be able to watch also to help with the other "Bridges" etc. too:

As for the "ROO" I'm still searching until I find it maybe someone else who has one can step in and help . . . "You" can also ask at the "Roo" Facebook page (Ohman Bmods | Facebook) where I am sure someone will assist Ya' too . . .

BTW: A " Battler " (< LINK) can be your friend . . .

Do you mind sharing with me your build on the in'ax carto?

It's funny because I just got a in'ax mk3 genesis and I built it yesterday for the first time and I was having bad thoughts when seeing the build deck was the exact same as the carto version. I battled hot spots and popped coils for over an hour but once I finnaly got it right it delivers great flavor. No dry hits at all. I really need the threaded center post because I HATE working with those included caps that trap the wire.
I agree with the caps that trap the wire, I fought that like crazy.

I built it with 200 mesh, 32g kanthal, 4.5 wraps. The supplier said to wrap 5cm x 2cm mesh (approximately). That just didn't work for me. I ended up cutting almost 10mm off the end, so it was more like 4 x 2cm. No hot spots, but like I said, the taste didn't do it for me. No dry hits, though, either. I ended up vaping at 12W, which wasn't too hot, much to my surprise. It looks like this:

Took delivery of a Rev4 last week. Unfortunately, once the battery was installed, the screen garbled and I received multiple "check battery" warnings. 4 batteries, same problem, so I contacted BBV via FB.

I had a response, an apology, and a return label in under 5 minutes. I am NOT exaggerating. And, my new Rev 4 is due to arrive today.

No modder is perfect, so sometimes new items are not perfect. That said, what matters is customer service when things go wrong. In this case BBV was exceptional and I cannot say enough good things!

When people ask me why I am willing to spend so much money on a mod, I often reply with a two word response..."customer service."

Thanks to BBV for the wonderful stuffz you do!
