Maybe I am too new of a member there or something, because I don't have that option, I have only spent $26.00 there and my points are only at $0.26. Yes I am logged in. :?:

Ha that is okay, I have a few weeks before I can do any more buying anyway, I was just trying to figure it out in advance. :)

Edit: Krisma
What about if you go into gift certificates (even though you don't have any) does the buy option appear

If all else fails I would buy something and cancel it. ;)

I already checked that,:)

I also don't have that option... And I've bought plenty from them over a few years now. Lol

So you can't buy from FT without using bitcoin or gift card?

I've never, in 7-years of vaping, purchased from them so I am clueless... Maybe I need to read this thread better and see what started the discussion..

Why can't you just buy from them like every other seller on the planet?

You can buy anything BUT Aspire products via the normal channels.

Aspire products must be purchased via Gift Certificates. I do not know why.

When ever I have used paypal, I have only used it for the pay now with credit card, they have no link to any of my personal accounts, and the transactions have always gone threw. My last purchase from fasttech was for e-cig supplies, and I was still able to make the transaction.

This is the main reason I NO LONGER will use "PayPoop", although I do have an account for verification . . . When I first set-up an account back in 2003, I had no problems depositing money into the account, especially for any purchases I wanted to make . . . There was NO NEED to connect a personal bank account or credit card directly at the time to use their services . . . Put Money In/Use Credit-Debit Card - Purchase Item/s & Pay Seller - Item/s Sent . . . NOW - "PayPoop" refuses to allow "Me" to use just a Credit/Debit Card to buy something . . .
angry-fist-smiley-emoticon.gif
. . . Nor - more recently - have I been able to just put money into the "PayPoop" Wallet without a direct connection into "My" Personal Bank Account . . .

Which is - NOT HAPPENING - NOPE - NA DA . . . NOT EVER ! ! !

AND - As for "Bitcoin" the same - NOT HAPPENING - NOPE - NA DA . . . NOT EVER ! ! !

Exactamente. I'm not sure what all happened between Aspire and FT that FT started disallowing Aspire purchases if one uses PayPal.

Everything else you want to buy from them is fine!

This is a plausible answer:

"Paypal forbids the sale of e-cig products listing them as a tobacco product but the system cant directly target items used for e-cigs but certain brand names have been forbidden aspire is one on paypals no sale list. I would think a lot of the other items they sell are flying under the radar at the moment."

I thought PP was basically OK with purchases made outside the US?? That was my understanding, of course, I could be totally wrong on that!

I thought I read somewhere that Aspire was the one that had the problem with Fasttech and accused them of selling clones and fakes. It was under the counterfeit policy that Fasttech got pinged by oaypal and it happened to everyone not just the U.S. Customers. Joyetech products were also effected for a short time.

I think that's also plausible, Krisma. I had read several versions of the why, and pretty much discarded them from my brain.

As a dear friend would say........ IRregardless, I shall continue my adventures in gift certs and continue to buy Aspire coils from our buds across the ponds. And land masses.

Bamrz, that was my understanding as well. So...... dunno.

International Customers using US vendors often bump up against a credit card authorisation process that doesn't play nice with our banking system and address conventions so PayPal is a breeze to use (vs the hoops you need to jump through using credit card purchases). Then I discovered quite by accident that many of the U.S. Vendors will allow you to buy a gift certificate with PayPal and then similar to the Fasttech process use that gift certificate to buy Vaping gear. its not the best solution but it allows us to complete transactions. (Has nothing to do with aspire coils but interesting snippet of info)

I usually try to avoid using paypal, they do not have any of my banking info. I have never trusted them that much, that is why I have never been verified here on ECF. I have only used them for processing a purchase, where that is the only way they can process a credit card transaction, like BYLEO for instance. I think I have had to use it for them, there are a few others, but not too many. I used it at fasttech because the other attempts all failed, it was the only way i could complete the transaction. MY :2c:

I have a completely separate bank account with an attached debit card to limit my exposure and is just for my online & PayPal transactions. I only keep a small balance and top up when I spend. There is no way I am using my normal one for anything in the interwebz :p

I was originally going to do that also, just never happened. I was going to open another bank account with another bank to do it, but then after I thought about it, the account was really only going to have one purpose, just to get verified threw paypal, it just did not really make any sense to do all that.

Well when I wanted to get ECF verified - I didn't have to use "PayPoop" (Like "You" - I DO NOT TRUST THEM, especially after a friend had their account hacked for $500 and "PP" refused to help get money back) . . . AND - before all the other options became available to get verified - I was one of the first to use the "Vouch" option (by 3 "Verified" ECF Members) and sent in a $1.00 to "j0ker" (How To Become A Verified Member ). . . Being that I am a "verified" by ECF, every seller I have the pleasure of dealing with was willing to accept a Money Order being sent to them . . . Same goes for any Co-Op I have been involved in . . . Matter of fact, I usually never had a problem, especially since I have nothing but positive responses & ratings, both as a buyer & seller too . . .

So - If there is something I really want or NEED - Thankfully - I now have a couple of ECF Friends willing to help out when and if I really NEED them too . . . :D

Same here - Bank Account with very limited funds (and any additional funds are only added as NEEDED) so I can use a Debit Card for any of "My" online purchases . . .
